Lets hope this is the first step towards a lasting peace. The trouble is there is still so much hatred and resentment on both sides of the border as is demonstrated by
JSRAW's post. It'll be hard to overcome the resentment which has been fueled by both sides for decades.
The entire planes has a stake in this game. Both sides are allied with western nations, and both sides have nuclear weapons. Resolving their disputes is beneficial to all of us.
I highly doubt that its step toward any peace talks. my rant was about only Pakistani Army not common people of Pakistan.
How can anyone expect peace talk when Pakistan army keeps backing terrorist organization and providing them a safe haven. They are not willing to take any action against Jaish-e-Mohammed because its created by ISI only to create unrest in Indian Kashmir. Masood Azhar roams around freely in Pakistan. but hey some times they show off with so-called house arrest.
Let me add that People of India and People of Pakistan has nothing against each other ( We do have love-hate relation, similar to siblings especially North India and Pakistan because partition affected that region mostly)
What complicates everything is the power they have in the armies, after all, the people of a city are not to blame, the ISIS is very radical and the army they have is difficult.
Always the soclutions must be based on dialogues and peace, that is why all this is handled for a long time under diplomacy, the bad thing is that many are losing their lives while these conversations take place.
