It depends on what strategy you are going to use. Are you going to do short trading or you are planning to hold? Also, for a beginning I would recommend you buy coins/tokens in at least the top 20 of the coinmarketcap. Most of them at least have much fluidity in exchanges and notable trade volumes. Avoid bitcoin forks at all costs - There is only one bitcoin.

none of them.
in order to become successful in a market you must first be able to make this seemingly simple decision on your own instead of asking others. so if you can't decide which token to buy (or even if you should bother with "tokens") then it is not a good idea for you to enter the market.

First thing first own some bitcoin, they're in limited supply (only 21million) and there won't be another bitcoin in future. All those token you'll get as suggestion will someday get replace by better competitors or can run out of business in the next second but there'll be no cryptocurrency without bitcoin.
Therefore as a newbie before you draft out strategy or budget to buy any token (shitcoin) first buy some Satoshi.

you can buy the coin with already popular brand and available on most exchanges such as bitcoin or ethereum. Avoid small cap coins on small exchanges because the risk of pump and dump.

Perhaps popular is understatement nor isn't a good one, it sounds more like a hype for me. Just use the word trusted and established. So yeah buy bitcoin and eth and don't buy those hype coins whereas you'll regret it afterwards. Don't believe on their empty promises. And as a beginner, don't pursue trading, just hold it like mid to long term, as what they say, zero profit is better than losses.

Take bitcoin's first.
And after taking that, observe the price swings. Believe me it will give you an idea on how the market shakes.

There is no such thing as "token for nooby". You invest in the projects you actually not understand, not on the projects that random people on the internet told you to. you can buy the coin with already popular brand and available on most exchanges such as bitcoin or ethereum. Avoid small cap coins on small exchanges because the risk of pump and dump.
Scratch that. Regardless if BTC and ETH are on the top or not, don't invest in them either if you don't know what they're used for. If you're not planning on doing research, investing is not for you.

I think for a newbie to earn money is to follow the signals of others till you gain knowledge about trading. And if you just want to invest and sit back for years to wait for your profit then you can go for the coin which is having the working product and is in well use in today's market.

Tokens is only an alternative digital asset and the perception of "best tokens" is only a reference for how everyone decides to buy the tokens. Because everyone has the freedom to manage their own finances, whether they lose or profit. maybe, you just think that tokens is a more economical digital asset when compared to the mayor digital assets and I can't deny that but you must be prepared to face risks that might be beyond your reasoning.

Bitcoin. Seriously. Because you can't go wrong with the gold standard of cryptocurrency.
The thing is though you have to understand what your objectives are and what you want to get out of it.
If it's purely for fun and you treat it as a gamble, I advise go for one of the very cheap payment currencies. Litecoin is the best. You can buy a dollar's worth and spend it, for fun.
But Bitcoin works for all scenarios. Gamble? Speculate? Invest? Learn? Bitcoin can be bought for a dollar, and can be used in so many cases and can be tested out by almost anyone. Even a bitcoin faucet just for a few satoshi!

Definitely don't do this. Following these sort of "signals" is most likely going to end up disastrous for you. Spend some time learning, THEN you trade. Don't rush things as we're talking about money being at risk here. Bitcoin. Seriously. Because you can't go wrong with the gold standard of cryptocurrency.
I really don't suggest this. Though bitcoin is the safest investment among most if not all cryptocurrencies, I'd still suggest against buying it if you don't know anything much about it. People buying bitcoin just because "moon" and "lambo" are mostly the ones who end up losing their funds through an exchange hack.

that is a common mistake most people make about altcoins! being popular "brand" and being on top of the lists doesn't make the coin good or even profitable. there are lots of much better coins that aren't that popular. in fact popularity of an altcoin mostly means it is a bigger pump and dump. as for market cap, it is so arbitrary that it is meaningless. the first thing that having a high market capitalization shows is that the said altcoin has a huge circulating supply with a big percentage of premine. take the biggest altcoins ETH and XRP, both of them have huge supplies and both have huge premines (70% and 100%) and big part of those coins are in control of their centralized power.

Actually theres no master here in choosing the exact coin to profit more to begin with. Its just a matter of experience instead to lessen somehow on the corresponding losses if ever you lose. Even I cant guarantee you a right token too in this long bearish situation of market but in my suggestion you better aim for top 10 coins in CMC at least to be safe and avoid fudd coins also.

People who are very serious about cryptocurrency trading definitely they will invest in Bitcoin firstly because people who are new are entering into the market watching how potential Bitcoin is going to be. My suggestion for a new trader it is very good to invest in Bitcoin instead of investing in the other coins. After investing, it is better to start researching another potential in the market it will help you to boost your knowledge, instead of asking here research on your own.

It depends on the kind of trade you want to start in crypto, do you want to start a trade where you can make quick profit daily or you are just looking for a coin with potential that will give a good profit in the future. If you are looking for coins to hodl, then I would advise you start with the purchase of bitcoin and ethereum then you can of other coin to buy but if you want to make quick daily profit, then it is better to go to an expert to teach you how daily trading works and how to make profit from it.

Because you are a newbie who is really decided to go into cryptocurrency investment you have to try out buying coins first which are in the top 10 ranks in coinmarketcap. Hold your coin before doing anything or trading them until you learned and have already armed with the knowledge of cryptocurrency trading of at least basic chart reading. If you can do that, you can decide for yourself to go and observe the movement of your coins in the market. If you still in doubt to try, don't go because you might end up frustrated. Good luck!

Put 75% of your funds into coins that are in the top 20 of coinmarketcap. This is the safest way to ensure you don't lose much. The other 25% you can go for riskier investments after doing a lot of research. You will lose money without a doubt but minimise those losses and learn from those mistakes.

If we are talking about newcomers, then a new person in the cryptocurrency market should focus only on the highest rated coins. Until he learns to analyze the available information about various projects. Nevertheless, the state of the cryptocurrency market. Even a professional is very difficult to navigate in order to select the most promising project.
