With a not dedicated GPU like gtx 1060 3gb, I think you may take a look on ravencoin, zelcash or aion, and also some new coins. For me, I shutdown my mining rigs for almost 2 months, it's really hard to mine at lost since my funding is not enough for now.

I would like to suggest you to find coin using some calculator online which will help you what coin you should mine. If you go directly to shitcoin mining it is not guaranteed that shitcoin can have value in the future because most of the coin has value in the first release and then after few months the coin has value to no value. How much are you paying the electricity bill per kilowatt hour ? The energy costs involved in mining have always been an obstacle.
For the moment Raven or BTG (long-term potential) would be good and even more profitable if you have cheap electricity.

I think you can take some small and new coins, but if you really want to get profit from mining you would better to buy Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti

I don't know what chanses Beam coin has but I highly believe OP isn't someone who is looking for support Beam network, it's not very profitable to mine with his GPU. Currently best option is Aeternity but personally I would mine with nicehash because difference between these two is very low and I would try to keep bitcoins and wait for it's rise. He can mine other coin and buy beam too. |

Well, choosing the right coin(s) to mine is one of the key factors to be able to have a profitable mining setup during bear season.
Where do you get your power from? renewable? utility company? at what cost?
I found these guys "crypto sieve", and they are doing something called "one miner, one lambo" in which they are reporting their activities during 1 year of mining.... they are using 1050Ti rig, so might be a good example... I think it is free, search it up...

Ravencoin is most profitable at the moment and actually has a future. It won't dissappear like some of the smaller projects might. It has gone on a bit of a run lately.
Could also try Beam or Veil.

There are also Nimiq (NIM) and ZCoin (XZC) from not mentioned. Both have good volume on exchanges and this projects are good by itself |

Install NiceHash Miner Legacy, it will choose the most profitable algorithm. But still the income will be low.
