This website is a scam "http://earnbitcoingenerator.com" , it keeps your bitcoins.

Its works like this: It is a Bitcoin generator, they say they will send you bitcoin between 0.1 to 2.5 bitcoin, "you get to pick how much you want to be sent to you anything between 0.1 to 2.5 bitcoin", you submit your bitcoin address through the generator "where it goes through a process - like things are working hard in the background" in order for you to get your bitcoin "that they promise" to  send to your bitcoin address. Sounds too good to be true I know.

After the process finishes a message pops up that their finished and bitcoin is ready to be sent but first you must send them bitcoin, they ask you to send them 3 euros worth of bitcoin to their bitcoin address and wait 10 minutes for your bitcoin to be sent to you, but you do not get any bitcoin.   Roll Eyes
It is only 3 euro luckly and not more, which would tempt people not in the know to try, but still the 3 euros worth of BTC is better in your wallet than theirs.

As for the website itself It must be making money to afford domain, hosting and private details. It has a message board, where fake users are commenting how great it is, they same messages are repeated over and over again and popups of different users that have just received their bitcoin "Joe Soap just received 2 BTC etc".

Do not use it.  Smiley

*******************UPDATE***********************
This site http://earnbitcoingenerator.com has since been parked.
************************************************

*21/03/19*
I came across these five websites, they seem to be doing the same scam as the one mentioned above, also Bitcoin Generators . I would warn people not to use them.  Smiley

The site comes out clean on VirusTotal, although that is not the Holy Grail. You need to be more elaborate on your claim, and detail exactly what happened to you, in order to give others a warning or at least an option to refute or validate your claim.
The site is another case that barely shows on Google.

Domain: earnbitcoingenerator.com
Registrar: Internet Domain Service BS Corp
Registered On: 2019-01-12
Expires On: 2020-01-12
Updated On: 2019-01-12
Status:clientTransferProhibited

Very recently created site + no https. Again not infailable, but warning signs.

It is a Bitcoin generater, they ask you to send them 3 euros worth of bitcoin in order to get more bitcoin, but you do not get any bitcoin. so you would be very silly to try it, you will lose your bitcoin. That is a scam in my eyes.
Looks pretty much so, but getting free BTC for nothing is not a thing that's really feasible, and people keep falling for these scams nevertheless. In your case, fortunately the sum was small …

I don't need to know if it is fraudulent, but I advise you never to send your bitcoin to any address to get more bitcoins. Never exchange out the bitcoin that belongs to us in exchange for bitcoin that we have not yet identified. This kind of scam site I met a lot, I never bothered about it.

Bitcoingenerators are 101% scam.If these things were legit on the very first place then i would mine directly or generate 21M bitcoin on my mothers attic  Cool

Scam accusations would be the best place for these topics to be posted.Newbies tends to be greedy thats why they do find out fastest way to earn btc and ending up on finding these things.

Your post is appreciated. You won't know, it might save some newbies in the coming days.

It was unfortunate that you fell on their trick, but at least now you've got an idea on how this kind of site works. Next time, you must check first before sending any amount online.

On the bottom left part of this page you'll see a move topic option. This kind of topic is really posted on Scam Accusations board, but I was thinking too if it should be moved on Beginners and Help instead, as a warning to newbies because mostly they are the ones who fall for this scams.

Seriously? Anyone who falls for those type of scams are either brain-dead, desperate or both.

If every bitcoin generator out there have to be reported, it will fill four pages of scam accusation board in just a day.
What should be reported are those faucets that accepts and tolerate these types of Ponzi-sites in their ad-space since it's the most common type of website that newbies like to visit; mostly invited by their "non-crypton fan" friends.
Here in Bitcointalk, showing ponzi scam in the signature or post will get you tagged; so faucet owner and affiliate accounts (and advertisers) should be tagged for showing Ponzi scam Ads on their website.

Maybe, it is okay to post this thread on both sections. You'll never know, it might save somebody's hard-earned money. Those type of sites, which are offering bitcoin amount that are too good to be true usually have certain procedure (i.e. installation of software, uploading your wallet, sending money, etc.) that you need to follow before they will give that promised amount. And if you are not meticulously reading every step, you unknowingly might upload your private keys. Which is their real purpose. Either getting fast cash or private keys that they will use for stealing funds.

Why they do not deduct the 3 euros from the 1.5BTC value that will be given to me and then send the rest of the coins to my wallet?

It can’t scam a child if they are scammers, so must be creative, for example, "send 10 Satoshi to your address and then receive 15 Satoshi and send back 100 Satoshi after watching ads then Scam you."

Greediness will cause any one to fall for this pretty scam of Bitcoin generator. Once upon a time i fell with the this very kind of  scammed when i send some fractions of Bitcoin to receive a bigger fractions i presume to be true but at the end the expected Bitcoin never return to my wallet and then i fell for them. They always come up with different domain names but still use the same ways to make their silly evil transactions on innocent ones to fall.

I am very concerned and do not believe that you can be affected by fraud even though there are not many, hopefully it will not happen again and become a lesson for you and all others. I thank you for the information.
only for me this is a separate question, why can you be lied to? Even though we know that what is done for fraud is something unnatural, it should not happen. How in this era, neither brother nor friend, but we have to send money with the desire to earn more money? impossible .......

It's greed. People somehow believe that the crypto space offers them all the tools they need to make the money they wouldn't be able to make without it. The reality however turns out to be very ugly.

Instead of making money, they are losing it, and in some cases it concerns their entire life savings, which is very sad. It's hard to imagine that people do this, but on the other hand, they just want to improve their finances for a better life.

It's safe to say that most people here have lost money one way or another when they entered the crypto world as newbie. In my case it was money I could afford to see vanish, but that's not how most people here manage their risks.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Well it is now a parked domain, my theory is they shut it down because they are already caught and reported or the developer of that site already made money so they parked it, and they are going to sell this domain but there will be a new site like this in the future because it is a script that you can set up over and over again.

I wonder if there are still newbies in crypto fall for this website since most of them don't know how to research things until the damage is done.

I'm sure there are a lot of newbies who still fall for this trap simply because they don't do any research whatsoever and that's why this kind of scam sites are not dying but instead growing because they know they can still pull this old trick.

And for those newbies out there, there's no such thing as bitcoin generator or free bitcoins out there. Everyone here work their ass-off just to earn few satoshis.

Really surprising actually how some people fall for such scam to send a coin to get more. I mean is funny because the coin sent, you can't have access to withdrawal anymore and if you sense a fall play, the service centre starts frustrating you with selfie provision to ascertain you are the owner. Just thought I would let people no not to bother with it.

You actually did a good job to save potentials victims who would have getten themselves involved in the ponzi site. Many years back i was a victim and the experience left me whit indelible mark uptil now because i lost a big huge sum of money in the process. Greediness should be discourage among forum members to avoid such lost.

I think you're to harsh by calling people brain-dead or desperate. For us - people with experience in crypto world it's easy to say that these Bitcoin generators are scam, it's more than obvious. But for newbies with very limited knowledge about crypto it's difficult to determine it. And offcourse, newbies is the main target of owners of such websites.
