We are launching a marketplace for freelancers accepting crypto payments (any cryptocurrency is supported). We do have an Affiliate ProgramWhy would we need another one? First of all, many other services look seriously abandoned.. And probably they are. The active ones are severely lacking in features or just plain hard to use. Here is a screenshot from one of "active" freelancing sites: https://i.imgur.com/fGe5Z9O.png Note the size of scrollbar - the skills dropdown is endless... And skills... Abaqus? Is that the thing you use to count things with the small rocks on the string?... Well, it's not that bad We hope to change that. We hope to have a better UI, more freelancers, more trust. We hope to build something that will be as reliable as big freelancing sites to use. Those sites don't care for Bitcoin and crypto, because it's small, but we do. Our site is one week old, but we managed to get about 50+ freelancers to offer their services on the site. We hope to continue that way. Oh yes, 0% fees. You can post your offers as a freelancer or your projects as a buyer. Screenshots: https://i.imgur.com/BmhHARP.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/MggPpWV.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/GAXsdCs.pngWe don't have an escrow for now, so we direct all users to BitcoinTalk's escrow services https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047302.0. So, if you're willing to give a new service a try: https://freelanceforcoins.com/You can read more about our plans in our Roadmap here: https://freelanceforcoins.com/roadmapOne more thing: $2 for referrals. https://freelanceforcoins.com/affiliate

All of them - anything the buyer and the seller agree on. Top250 has auto complete support, anything else just type in the ticker. This is very strange indeed. We've had a small DOS attack recently, maybe you've tried during that time. It was pretty short though.

I think it’s a good project for me. There are just a handful of freelance marketplace websites that are running on the blockchain. I did tried a few, but some of them functions like Craigslist. However, there are a few questions that I have in mind.
1. What coin/tokens are you accepting for your service? 2. Are you accepting new tokens in the future as alternative payment method service? 3. How reliable and secured is your website? I know this is something more essential than any other questions that I’m mentioning. 4. If you charge no fees, how are you guys making revenue on this one?
Looking forward to your kind response. Thank you in advance. Cheers!

Hi, cheezcarls! Thanks for the questions! 1. Like I said, all tokens and coins. Anything that a buyer and seller can agree on. See here: https://freelanceforcoins.com/i/new_invoice.png and here: https://freelanceforcoins.com/i/anycoin.pngCurrently it's all manual. So, buyer and seller manually check whether the coins/tokens moved and click the appropriate buttons. We will have better integrations in some near future (i.e. automatic detection of transfers/confirmations via respective blockchains. Something tells me that 95%+ of services will be sold for BTC unless fees rise dramatically.) 2. We are accepting all of them already if it's not listed (Top250 on CoinGecko) - just type in the ticker and go ahead. 3. Well, our team previously managed a fleet of 100+ servers for a huge retailer (40000+ employees), so we know a thing or two. But of course it's not like we're indestructible. I mean even gov'ts with unlimited budgets and Facebook leaks data sometime. But I believe we are protected enough for a site like that (throttling mechanisms, suspicious activity notifications to internal team Slack, etc..) We've had an aggressive scan yesterday and were notified by our systems to watch in real-time (SQL injections, XSS, password guessing attempts). Sadly the attacker was mostly throttled and mostly received "Not available" responses. So it wasn't that fun to watch. Reliability is probably less of a concern for now. I mean even if our uptime is 99% and not 99.9999% - the worst that can happen is that people will get their messages a bit later. We don't handle the coins, so we can't lose them. In the future there are plans to offer optional escrow services (for now we redirect users to BitcoinTalk thread on that), that would probably require more thinking and security. Of course, I should add, that as this service grows - we will be investing more into reliability and security. My statement about "99%" is good for when there are 100 freelancers on the site. When we have something like 10000 - we really need to be closer to 99.99% or .999 uptime. 4. We have a few ideas: paid (optional) escrow services for 1-2%; paid tests to verify your knowledge; paid bumps of your offering to the top of the lists, highlight it. I think it's a bit too early to talk about making money. First we need to make this thing so useful that people would really-really want to join the site. For that we need to invite hoards of freelancers and make sure people can sort through them (i.e. figure out who is worth their money, who is not).

I believe we already had like this coming from ICO but unfortunately, it failed to generate support from the community, even though they got a lot of funds from their crowdfunding, we need something like this there are thousands of freelancers and those who wants their project to realization, I hope this one become popular.

I've also tried to acces it and but it's down. Seems like you have a problem with it, better resolve it asap. Regarding to your idea, I think it's great as long as convince people and other websites /businesses , at least at the beginning,to post their jobs on your website. Otherwise if you just wait for people to come and post their jobs, you will have a hard time finding partners and clients that are willing to use your service.

Can you maybe send a screenshot of the error? We have a lot of people daily on Google Analytics... There is also a problem that IP that we use is already on some e-mail SPAM blacklists (since before we got IP).. Maybe you have some blocking based on those lists? Because it doesn't really seem to be down https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/freelanceforcoins.comRegarding to your idea, I think it's great as long as convince people and other websites /businesses , at least at the beginning,to post their jobs on your website. Yep, we understand that and we are actively working to bring people in. Yesterday we've celebrated a small victory of 100 sign ups.

As a small update: We have categories now ( https://freelanceforcoins.com/categories), better notifications ( https://freelanceforcoins.com/i/unread.png), scopes and time limits for invoices ( https://freelanceforcoins.com/i/new_invoice.png), which is a small step towards better project management and dispute resolution. More than 140 freelancers have signed up so far (or have been invited by us) to offer their services for crypto https://freelanceforcoins.com/offers You can add your offer too here: https://freelanceforcoins.com/offers/createSome of the categories we have: Web Programmers (for crypto, of course), translators, web designers, freelance writers, illustrators, logo designers, SMM specialists, WordPress specialists, mobile app developers, virtual assistants and many more

Is this the only freelance site that uses cryptocurrency? This is the first one I've heard of at least.

No, not really. There is a number of similar sites, at least two of them are active - xbtfreelancer and cryptogrind (though lately I've been unable to connect to latter). We will definitely try to have a better UI and user experience. Stay tuned

It's a good question. I've always wondered that myself. Fiverr for example used to accept Bitcoin, but then stopped. I think there are two major problems with accepting crypto 1) crypto accounting in USA and taxation is not very friendly if you are acting as an escrow, seeing how it's mostly trated as commodity (BTW we have a dedicated category for cryptocurrency accepting accountants) 2) the number of customers willing to actually use cryptocurrency is really low, that's why you need a place which concentrates solely on those buyers, like FreelanceForCoins.com

I think eventually it will become more and more in demand, but before then freelanceforcoins will already be the goto site for those preferring crypto payments.
