How do I distinguish between reliable and scam bounty?
A bounty being a scam is from different levels :
1.The project is a scam - you need to do your own research about the project that you promote for bounty. If they turn out scam not only would you lose your money that you put your hard work in for but also your reputation for supporting them.
2.The manager is a scammer - in this case you have to prevent yourself from joining every new bounty that appears and go with those managed by trusted campaign managers.
3.Project fails to raise enough money - then they are not a scam but they failed in their objective. Nothing you can do to prevent it.

It is not a satisfactory answer, but I believe it is necessary to spend time on it and inevitably makes mistakes...

Another good section to learned about legit and bad ICO's are the altcoin discussion and scam sections, these two sections really help a lot of people from falling and tracing the scam ICO's it's where newbies and investors should start.

How do I distinguish between reliable and scam bounty?

Sorry to say but even a reliable bounty now can turn out to be scam later on or will be a shit project otherwise you're just wasting your time doing research, it's gonna be useless.

You can offer yourself as a freelancer to earn crypto's (bitcoin, ethereum and other altcoins) depending on your skill set. Just look to the people who have been posting on Services and Marketplace (Altcoins) and gets paid according to their contact/verbal agreement.

The thing is you are just going to get paid with crypto's but the way of exchanging your service and any kind of legal goods are just the same. You just need to be more creative on what your niche is.

I mostly depend on bounty manager when I choose a bounty. You know reputed bounty manager like Hhampuz, Julerz, Decoded etc will never stake their reputation with a scam/shit project. Anyway, I personally trust them doesn't reflect that you have to do. Research on the project and you will find the answer.

You can find a scam bounty by researching about the project team most of the time because they may given fake details from internet.

If you don't want to join on bounties then you can join on campaign with bitcoin payment.

It is rare to find a bounty that pays in bitcoin. Do not confuse Signature campaigns paying in bitcoin with bounty campaigns. The closet I got was that some campaigns paid in Ethereum and not tokens. But most of them will pay in tokens. This is justified because they want their project to be known and what that liquidation of their token.

Also the project may not be successful at which point the tokens will be valueless approximately but bitcoin wont - thus paying hunters in bitcoin means a waste of funds for them. This is effectively a method to blanket scam these people or at least something that I have felt unethical from the point of view of bounty hunters since my first days here.

You could also participate in giveaways and contests to earn free coins but still the best way to earn coins is through bounties because bounties need workers to promote their project and they are willing to pay a lot for that. The best way to choose a good bounty is by doind a lot of research to find out every information available about the team, their previous project, the idea, and other reviews by people who work in this domain.

Bounties are tokens you receive for doing some work like promoting via social media sites. However some give them away for free, these are called 'airdrops' but most however are just shitcoins.

2.The manager is a scammer - in this case you have to prevent yourself from joining every new bounty that appears and go with those managed by trusted campaign managers.
3.Project fails to raise enough money - then they are not a scam but they failed in their objective. Nothing you can do to prevent it.

1.The project is a scam -  how can we know if a project is scam ?  , some project looks verry legit at first but eventually they are slowly turning into a scam .

2.The manager is a scammer - how to know if the manager is a scammer ? not all trusted and reputable managers are legit  . some old members were verry trusted at first but eventually they did also turn into a scammer .

3.Project fails to raise enough money - how can we know that a project will fail ?

its really hard to predict the outcome of a  bounty without trying them out first  .  bounties are like gambling both are verry risky  .  luck does matter the most on here

In the recent days no bounties were paying any rewards to the participants due to project failure or it might e a scam project so we can join on legit project if they have bitcoin paying bounties it might failure but our effrots will get worth it.

Agree with you. There are two top rules.
Only bounties with payments in coins which is already listed on the exchange. Bounties where managers use trusted escrow.

How do I distinguish between reliable and scam bounty?
Project, find a project first then join bounty for that project. Don't go directly to Altcoin Bounty without reading Altcoin Announcement.
Are there other ways to earn free digital currencies rather than faucet and bounty?
Airdrops? Maybe not good but you will earn more than on faucet.
Unless someone donate you or send you a tip for useful post or help I don't think there is.

Unfortunately, that's all true. It would be the best if the bounty could make an escrow, but unfortunately it is often the case that they do not have the funds, that's why they pay in tokens.
Bounty hunters take the risk that the project may fail, mainly because the rewards are much higher than in the case of coin paid campaigns that are already listed on exchange.

It is hard to predict if a bounty is going to be successful or not but it is not impossible. There are dozens of people who make profit constantly from bounties, and i dont think we can talk about luck here. There are different methods and specific informations you have to find in order to increase your chances of choosing a good bounty. This is something related to experience, because thats whats really going to help you to choose the best bounties. But now here the question, how can you have experience if you never invested in bounties? The conclusion is that bounties are not the best solution for most of you to invest your money.

I'm not sure what you mean by investing in bountys, could you explain it ... Maybe it's about investing time?
I agree that it is not easy to find a bounty that will bring a good reward, but certainly the experience helps a lot and reduces the risk that the project we choose will fail.
