This creates a bit of a problem in crypto currency. Many of us understand bitcoin and that it isn't like a startup tech company that can somehow be disrupted.  

There are Economic, Cryptographic, Game Theory, Governance, Psychological and Network Effect properties that WILL NEVER be replicated or modified to create decentralized digital money the world adopts like bitcoin.

To kill time between the $10 million bitcoin and where we are now, trading shit-coins has become a common gambling game.

Many people waste precious bitcoin trying to earn even more bitcoin on low-value crypto that nobody values.





Warning to BTC Newbies

This is a fools errand that plays out the same continually throughout history.

New assets and markets open up, everyone jumps in to make "major gains" and lose their money time and time again.

All while precious assets like gold, or digital gold that bitcoin has become, just sit there storing value and securely transferring it without the need for 3rd parties.




Anyone new to bitcoin, please think twice before placing value on "new coins" that are merely pumped and dumped by the bitcoin traders looking to make even more bitcoin off the newbies. It's a tough new internet trading market out there. It could take another 20 years for proper valuations of crypto and Bitcoin's continued dominance in it to be known to the entire world.

No reason to waste your time and precious bitcoin on Alt-coins when you can troll shitcoiners with memes to remind them how dumb they are daily.

We have to stay busy and productive somehow before Fiats are pegged to Bitcoin!

Agree, i feel like when people get into other cryptocurrencies, such as altcoins, it’s only to hedge against bitcoin. The arguments as well are not very solid. “Bitcoin may have some failing, that Alt-coin won’’t" or “..this currency might have some future utility that’s definitely better than Bictoin”. These actually sound like “I’m afraid to invest so i’ll spread my assets around in 30 other places” type of arguments. I, personally feel like bitcoin has proven to be effective and secure. It has existed 8 years without failure and literally has the most entrepreneurs creating companies around it out of all cryptocurrencies.

I actually just don't stress about it. When you know bitcoin's the future, you know.

I agree with it somehow. Bitcoin should be the only one and the true cryptocurrency. Most altcoins are shit and don't deserve anything. To be honest, I just ignore them and focus more on the real thing that would really change the world, which is Bitcoin. Stay away from scam coins which is called shitcoins. But of course, there are some good altcoins to consider because they help Bitcoin grow,  for example advertisement or something. Take note, altcoins do have some good effects on Bitcoin. For me, altcoins kind of help reduces transaction fees from exchange to exchange or exchange to a wallet.

Well, investing in shitcoins is definitely bad, but I really don't see a problem with trading shitcoins. Also, why is it a waste of time? If you can make more money off it to increase your bitcoin holdings, then what's the problem with it? Trading doesn't automatically mean taking part in pump and dumps.

Agreed. At some point of the time I feel is the altcoins used for market manipulation nothing more than that.

There are two ways of looking into it:

• If I see at the market as a trader then it is just the numbers, PnL etc.,
• If I look at the coins with there use case then there are few like TRX, ETH which have there own moto like ETH for DApps, TRX for decentralised gaming, content etc.,

It depends on us how we look at it and also how we are using it. There are many ICO and new coins getting launched with high promotion just to create a scam, I am not referring to those coins here.

I kind of disagree. Don't get me wrong, Bitcoin is still king, but the race to being the "next Bitcoin" could bring about something worthwhile. Competition drives progress after all. The problem is that some alts are marketed that way just to make money lol.

Alt trading is risky, yeah, and more people have probably racked up losses from it than earnings, but if you can play the market, why not? I personally don't think that people should be supporting shitcoins at all but I have no problems with people who do; Bitcoin is all about financial freedom after all.

This post could be relevant somewhere back in 2017-2018 when cryptocurrencies had a huge amount of new users attracted by insane and fast income. Now most of these people either lost their money and disappointed in cryptocurrencies or finally realized how all those things work.
Anyway, there is no such big amount of new coins.

I agree, the competition is good.

There were already some nice inovations such as ethereum.

And any good idea made by an Altcoin can benefit bitcoin itself, as Bitcoin code can be improved by that idea also

Obviously, shitcoins don't give us any outcome and it's a waste of time. Expecting something which doesn't happen is the reality of investing in shitcoins, I am good with Bitcoin and I believe in this because it's a real competitor in the market and it will boom very soon.

I don't think people actually look for "next" bitcoin, it is rather the creator of those shitcoins that brainwash the sheep that are following them into thinking their useless shitcoin is a replacement for bitcoin so that they can pump it for a while and fill their pockets with their money before they move on to better things.

I agree with you, the market is flooded daily with millions of shit Altcoins that have no purpose except making rich developers & platforms. Especially when we talk about stable coins built on false promises.

I disagree with you in describing that all Altcoins are worthless, there are a few coins "number counting using fingers" can be considered good because it is impossible to get a perfect system 100%.

What's done by beginners usually caused by more likely to be poisoned by his mind by various solutions and innovations that accompany altcoin especially to get instant benefits. Even they aren't shy to promote, that what they are doing is right and will benefit 000% X.

In the future there must be cooperation between bitcoin users, to create harmonization of the development of bitcoin and several regulations that can be prepared to become a reference. Because, this era of cryptonization (the emergence of new crypto) has made many bitcoin users disappear and not a few of them are turning to altcoin. If only they could realize it well, the presence of altcoin into the crypto market's actually a medium that can kill bitcoin on an ongoing basis.

Understandable, but OP,  not all altcoins are shitcoins. We never can tell what might happen in the nearest future. There is still a possibility of Bitcoin to get beaten as the 'most used or invested' coin but not as the 'first coin' cause it will still remain as that.
 A new coin might emerge or it may even be among the listed altcoins that we have. And many people might be selling altcoins or shitcoins because they probably got them through airdrop or don't want to touch their Bitcoin so they experiment with them.

Those were the one who are into the cryptocurrency network long back itself. Also what they did is the right thing, because missing it has led to a much longer time travel to reach the ath achieved by each and every coin in the market. As if now the confidence level among users have decreased and soon with cryptocurrency market growth confidence level over bitcoin's growth too will increase.

it is logical to trade with coins like litecoin ethereum except bitcoin but I don't trust shitcoins much, for example I buy 8 bitcoin Amp Synero coin, now the value is only 0.1 bitcoin. so it makes more sense to trade with reliable coins.
