So a friend of mine participated in signature bounty, since I don't have Merit yet, I have been doing some trades, and taking some elementary study on bitcoin and altcoins, couple with the way bounty hunters are been treated, I decided to stay off bounty on a low key for now.

The name of the bounty is Rento,
Bounty thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5076209.0

Project ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5074644.0

This bounty campaign lasted for about 3months, and came to a close February 28. It is reported that at the middle of the campaign, the campaign manager suddenly stopped updating stakes for only signature campaigners, and submitted that he would count and update signature after the bounty comes to a close. A check on the google spread sheet shows that he has done that, maybe after some heat.

The current announcement is that they may be able to remove signature by March 31st or April, this means signature will be kept free for a month without an extra pay. What if the bounty manager doesn't keep to his promise? A look on their official website is been rejected by my browser, it keeps bringing up a warning sign that the site is not secured, that someone might want to steal my data or try to hack me. I will love programmers to verify this. The site is on both the Ann thread and bounty.

Shouldn't bounty managers or bitcointalk members who created such a project thread live up to responsibility by advising project teams the evil of cheating bounty hunters or do they equally benefit from the cheating? I think it's high time things are done decently otherwise, let such cheating projects go and pay google or a third-party site for their advert, and when their money expires, they should force such paid site to run their advert for free or sue them to court.

Your suggestion is highly welcome, thanks.

I'm not a programmer but everyone who can access to their official website can verify this. I verify that the website isn't safe to visit because my browser says so, I didn't proceed to check the website out so be careful if ever there will be one who wants to push it.

It's a manager task to verify tasks to the participants and if he can pay well attention to you, why are you going to stay with that bounty? You should start telling your friend to leave that bounty and look for a better and reliable one.

Honestly, I don't trust an ICO announcement thread that is moderated in the past it is considered a scam and dubious project, have never participated in a moderated Announcement and bounty campaign because it could only mean they will not accept a complaint and they are hiding something.

I see the bounty manager has updated the signature stake of participants. Normally at the end of a bounty campaign when the stake is updated on google spreadsheet they participant can remove their signature and avatar without any problems, so I think you don't need to keep the signature for free.

And he was talking about that and didn't you even watched the thread again? it such a garbage platform with non-sense idea. I glad never try to join in that thing. the manager forced the participants to wear the signature for a month later.
I understand what he said and you don't understand what I said. What I want to say above is he doesn't need to care about their promise, he did what they asked in the campaign and they recorded his work results and they will send to him his reward if this project is "normally" project.

Always check update about stake maybe if campaign of signature do not update last weeks you have ask their team and if keep still not update more than two weeks, better you choose other signature campaign.

The only way to not get scammed on bounty campaign is by joining a bounty campaign with the tokens escrowed and make sure the escrow itself is trusted, finding a bounty campaign with tokens escrowed might be hard to find but worth it if you don't want to get scammed, i believe bountyhive escrows campaigns they are managing.

I don't get it why can't the participants remove their signature code?
If the manager have done the computatiom then they are free to remove it,
And also it wouldn't take too much time for a bounty manager to do it unless the manager would just ignore it.

Good morning,

I'm an employee of the company and I deal with the bounty program.

The bounty was completed on February 28. There are a lot of reports. Time is required to add all stakes and verify users. I don't understand why Users expect tokens immediately. I need to check all persons, assign them stakes and remove cheaters.

The deadline for verification is March 31. I work all the time and update stakes. Probably everything will end sooner.

A moment ago there was a website failure. The website is now working correctly.

Please, don't write false information. Otherwise, cases will be forwarded to lawyers.

Best wishes,
Rento Team

They are currently updating the spreadsheet so after the signature sheet has been allocated the bet then you can release the signature,

.
You ought to have agreed that updating of stakes were stopped at the middle of the campaign, and this only affected signature campaign, which you know was a technical move to ensure signature can't be removed, this must have been ill conceived.

don't think 31 days is too much for this? even Amazix uses just 7 days for verification or less.

You have left the core of the thread, which is holding signature hostage for 31 days, on this thread, I didn't write that participants want tokens, on your telegram you well spelt out when the token may likely be distributed.

Only a chicken will be scared with such empty threat. Just administer justice and all these dragging won't happen
I have a reservation for now, will release further findings as time goes on.

The awful reply on your telegram has always been "do as you want" when asked about the removal of signature, this clearly shows you want workers to loss their stakes. You need to come out with fairness.

The rules were clear and available for 2 months in a telegram. There was information that the signature campaign would be checked after the end of the bounty. If someone didn't like it, he didn't have to take part in the campaign.

Every week, I updated facebook and twitter campaigns, it was about 40 pages of forum bitcointalk...

The team works all the time.

If you have too much time and want to help, check all telegram campaign users. There are 5,000 of them...

Why "do as you want" ?  Because users don't understand the rules and ask the same question 1000 times.

Is this the only one you got caught? I can tell you 100 bounty projects they never pay to the bounty hunters. For example Sonder ICO didn't paid to their bounty workers or the Repux. 2 weeks ago CargoCoin project stopped contact, lately we are having big problems with the Athero, in signature campaign i made around 1 BTC price (90.000 THO coins), 45 days we are still waiting. Also the telegram admins couldn't got paid as well. We are in the virtual world and we can not do anything when they don't pay us, this is our risk but this is very high one. In last 3 years i worked more than 500 bounty project and i could only got happy with 30 of them!

Our administrator got a salary, just like the bounty participants will get.
They just have to wait.

I found no problem with the website. They are using SSL too. Are you using metamask extension on your browser?
Regarding the signature removal, they have the right because they said they can change any rules of the bounty although this is not fair. So, you have to follow their rules to get the rewards if any.

I also see nothing concern the not secure warning as said by the OP and the only thing I dont like about the campaign was their ANN thread which was self moderated. Although, the OP and bounty manager was among the DT member of this forum but we're in decentralized world and every you be make decentralized. But, if the OP still feel something suspicious, I will advice him to contact ICO ethics so he and his team could do some background check about the project.

You or your friend really wasted 3 months on promoting for free son son't get one more month again, just stop participating on it if the manager involving on shady activities then you can create a thread with the proofs for it so the manager will get red tag for that.

Thats the worst part that will happen if you joined in ico bounty campaign, you will accept anything that they will say, but in the end you wont get any reward by doing your job for at least 3 months.

When the bounty manager leaves then you know it is time to go. The BM is expecting payment from the team but if s/he doesn't get paid then s/he won't do the work. Then you know it's time to give up
