What is Nimiq?
A blockchain technology inspired by Bitcoin but designed to run in your browser. It is a fast and easy means of payment.
What makes it secure?
Nimiq's decentralized, censorship-resistant payment system is open source and under continuous peer-review. Your funds are controlled by no one but you.
What makes it special?
Nimiq is designed for ease-of-use: its browser-first approach means it is installation-free for users. Developers can easily build on it with JavaScript.

It's using Argon2d algo, recently the GPU software miner has released and become one of the most profitable coin in town.

Nimiqpocket is one of the most active and trustful pools in NIMIQ community.
Three server instance located at US, EU and ASIA. Multiple langs supported. And we only charge 1% pool fee.

I thought NIM was a CPU only coin? I guess the community have progressed well and developed their GPU mining software.
Does this mean that CPU mining is already dead and no longer profitable?

Anyone mining NIM with GPU now? What's it like?
I like NIM as it doesn't require any wallet to download. Any browser on mobile or desktop + seed words then you'll be able to retrieve your NIMs.

  I'm running a gtx 1060 and pull 733.15 NIM$/day.

Detail of the setup:

MSI Afterburner setting
  130 Core Clock
  1000 Memory Clock

Miner:

noncerpro-cuda-win64-3.2.0

This setup is producing 198-202 Kh/s

The CPU is being used to mine CPUchain.  Smiley

This repository is currently under development. It contains the implementation of the Nimiq 2.0 protocol: a Proof-of-stake blockchain based on the Albatross consensus algorithm.

Nimiq 2.0 was conceived with performance in mind without sacrificing security.
https://github.com/nimiq/core-rs-albatross

Nimiq is moving to PoS: Nimiq created Albatross, a new, super-fast Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm that will launch together with an upgrade of the Nimiq Blockchain. Moving to PoS is also about overcoming the environmental burden caused by the electricity consumption of PoW.
