I just received cointerra's 2TH/s rig from Goat and I am preparing the room the set it up and would like to ask if there is any little techniques or anything thats not listed in the online manual I should know about? Should I buy a high end surge protector or they all the same? Any information would help and be appreciated, this is my first time mining and hope to get everything right without learning the hard way.

Recommend any pools? Are larger pools more profitable then smaller ones?

I'm sure I will have more noob questions so bare with me Smiley

Was really hoping someone would share some of their experiences mining. I jumped into this head first in a no diving area, I hope I don't break my neck...

First off, congrats on starting with such a large asic, I wish I could afford it. So mining pools. Large or small you still make the same amount of money per ghash but watch for fees. I reccomend ghash.io because they are the largest mining pool in the network and you get many small payments more frequently than in you were to use a smaller pool. Also you can immediately available for reinvestment in their cloud mining exchange. I use ghash.io and a technique I use to increase my return is that I take whatever bitcoin has accumulated in my account at the end on the day and buy cloud mining with it. Then at the end on the month I sell all of my cloud hashing on the exchange. This works out so that every month I increase my hashrate by 22% and if I sell it at the same rate as I bought it then I increase my income for the month by 10-15%. Then I take my bitcoin to buy more asics. Another thing you could do is sell your accumulated cloud hashing vouchers on ebay. Then you can buy a gh of cloud hashing for about $11 . Use it for a month and then sell it on ebay for $20+ each! Also these calculations dont include merge mining which is automatic with ghash.io they offer 4 currency merging. So you got that too. As for setting up your worker. When you sign up for cex.io and go to your ghash.io page it has already set up a worker for you created from your username.

Forget surge protector, i'd get a UPS. it will keep you running through minor dropouts. I've like APC's UPS.
