Everytime we read texts like this but dont see that bull run, just a little green and go back again and that's is all, hope this time we finally would see that and not just 5k but more I believe institutional are already here and when it will start we know about them ,2019 must be year of crypto we are here to stay.

this is what most people who are "speculating" forget most of the times when it comes to bitcoin. last time we were in a ditch similar to this one price was stable for a very long time with people saying it will drop all the time and then it only took about 6 hours to rise up $2000!

considering how many people are waiting to buy bitcoin now, the same scenario doesn't seem that unlikely to me.

I don't know maybe he is a user in this community. $5k though is within reach short term as compare to those so called experts claiming that bitcoin will go higher than 5 digits this year.

For the past few days now, bitcoin has actually been struggling to break the key resistance which is $4k, these next few days we might experience its successful breakout to the limit of $4200 before coming back to $3900 and should it find support  to trade above $3900 after then, hence it is obviously running for the bull $5k to 6K, so obviously, it is very possible for your prediction to occur on or before May month and once it occurs, we might be heading towards the major bull of $10,000 usd before the end of the year stroke early next year.

Right, I'm sure everyone will remember those $1k pump during the last great bubble, you sleep, you wake up the next morning and seeing the price goes to another +$1k in a single day or even hours. On the other hands we've seen worst, from $19K down to $32++, so there is a lot of changes that can happen in a single minute or even a year.

But I guess the point with this prediction is that it doesn't harm those who blindly trust it. It just a thousand dollars from the current price, but first we need to break $4k and then slowly gets to $5k.

I don't want to get my hopes high but maybe he was right but by the looking at the past chart it says it will gonna go uptrend in a couple of months or more. But we don't know exactly what price it would stop to become a new resistance and more people are talking that $4k is the next resistance since we are not yet at the bottom.

Then there is another one that tells us it will go to $5k.
We could only speculate the prices from the yesterdays' price so we can get ourselves ready for tomorrow.

And the stability at $3800 scares me to. I'm hoping we'll see a drop back to 3500-3600 soon. The more time to accumulate at the bottom the better!

it should scare you, but for different reasons than you think. the next step is to rehypothecate the bitcoins held in their custody, inflating the supply of paper bitcoins on the market.

And the stability at $3800 scares me to. I'm hoping we'll see a drop back to 3500-3600 soon. The more time to accumulate at the bottom the better!

if we go to $5k like the OP says, what makes you think we won't see the $3000s again? that's the most likely destination afterwards.

The more people start to believe we're due for a leg up, the less likely it becomes.

I'm more inclined to say that we're due for some pretty 'boring' months in terms of price action. I would be happy if proven wrong and we go up instead, but with the trend still being down long term speaking, I rather don't go against it yet. I want to see $4200 break and hold above to actually turn a bit more short term bullish.

We have seen last year how strong support levels can be, and in the same way that applies to resistance levels. The more often you test them, the more likely it is for them to break, but the process of breaking out can take a long time. Good thing is that people accumulating have some more time to buy in.

I agree, the majority of the forum was expecting a recovery in the price of bitcoin at the end of 2018 and it did not happen and it was easy to see why it did not happen, because the majority were expecting the recovery at that time and the market cannot give profits to everyone, we are all competing against each other to get profits and we need to have a minority of winners and a majority of losers, so it seems to me there are still many investors waiting for a recovery during the next months and that means it will not happen.

It is likely that this will happen, I absolutely do not exclude the possibility that $ 5000 it will be a new price for Bitcoin in May. In the end, the Bakkt playground should be launched soon. This should lead to some price increase. Unless of course something unpredictable happens.

Thats true because we don't know what will happen in next few weeks and we know that there's no impossible in anything so it can bitcoin go to 5k or it will lower than that. And I think there's no reason that bitcoin will not increase till 5k price in the month of May, maybe it's hard to believe but for me it will happen.

Is there any upcoming event that will trigger the price of Bitcoin to shoot up to $5,000 this May? There should be an event or something that will move the price to $5,000 or almost 30% of the current price of Bitcoin. If we are just expecting the Bitcoin halving this coming May 24, I think its not enough to help the price of Bitcoin to go up to $5,000. It may go to $4,000 level of just 10%-15% increase.

Its not impossible since bitcoin still keep holding 3900$ stage at this moment. Which is in just one bump fore sure bitcoin will touch on that value. How much more now that it's still have time to accumulate more?. In my view it will exceeding again unless holders keep holding instead gaining quick profits.

You are right mate, there is still enough gap between now and may for BTC to pick that value and even above it, most speculators are even expecting the BTC to reach $10k by end of the year because economist predict that some top countries will experience major economy growth this year which some of them are already aware of the BTC investment, just that some of their citizens are looking out for the best opportunity financially to enter the market. So between now and that May, I really expect lots of investors.

The fluctuating market price made more demands rising from past days, so seeing $5k by May was too far to happen. Since we're now moving back to recover what has been missed last year, it's always good to see bitcoin soar up higher again. Don't rush out and expect earlier but we still need to always be careful and avoid being overjoyed. Because, once pumping period will happen bearish market likely to bite again. If you're a long term holder or investor don't be carried away for that small spikes, better to stay calm and wait for more than $5k rise or much we will reach the peak rise of $20k or better.

Truth is, we don't really have the measurement tool to weigh the depth of that news based on the facts which were input in it. The job of the media is to always confuse the end customer (us) and make us believe what they want us to believe. But it may become true, following that it had been very long since BTC holding this 3xxx range now.

last year many people also made many predictions and showed many graphics and the result was that everyone went wrong and the bitcoin price did not increase. try to make optimistic prediction at that moment is something that will not work, people are waiting to see concrete things and not predictions that never hit

I doubt that since is way to early. Bear trap will happen right at end of sideways so in summer or even autumn. Not sure if $3200, but it should probably go lower then it is right now.

$5000 can happen even next week. That would be like 25% increase. Such happened even in one day. OK yes that volatility is almost at its low but still. It can happen fast. Two months that takes to end May are a long long time.

I suspect big whales are play the games so we should wait see the one more weeks because recently it was reached in 4k USD. But again it was going to back so pump and dumps are possible in this scenario.
