It is likely that this will happen, I absolutely do not exclude the possibility that $ 5000 it will be a new price for Bitcoin in May. In the end, the Bakkt playground should be launched soon. This should lead to some price increase. Unless of course something unpredictable happens.

We have seen last year how strong support levels can be, and in the same way that applies to resistance levels. The more often you test them, the more likely it is for them to break, but the process of breaking out can take a long time. Good thing is that people accumulating have some more time to buy in.

We've already had 2 months of boring. My guess is it won't continue for long. Bulls keep buying every dip and we keep consolidating near local highs. Bears are doing their best to encourage selloffs but they keep failing. I'm certainly not projecting a new bull market from here but I'm definitely leaning towards a break of $4,200 and a nice leg up from there. A local top in the $4,800-$5,300 range seems possible.

With how the different time frames seem to rhyme to a larger extent, it's not out of the ordinary, especially with how there isn't much going for Bitcoin as we speak. I'm looking for a confirmation that things are really different, and as long as $4200 isn't broken, I prefer to remain a bit more neutral and open to more possibilities than just a leg up.

Bakkt approval would definitely help trigger institutional interest considering that they do pay attention to these events, and we're not very far away from April which is their projected launch date. On the other hand, I doubt it will launch in April with how the government shutdown resulted in the CFTC to deal with a massive backlog, and I'm not exactly sure if Bakkt is high on their priority list for a quick approval.

One might think so, but in percentage/log terms this $3,300-$4,200 range is much tighter than the $152-$318 range we saw during 2015's boring phase. That's a 27% range vs. a 109% range. Bitcoin feels boring because it moves pretty slow now, but there's no past precedent to make me expect a range this tight to last very long. We're just coiling for another move.

I have to be honest never heard about this guy before, but he’s used the word up to 5k which means even if bitcoins rises few dollars from now he’ll take credit for it. While he’s given a reasonable price hike levels which I feel can happen if people hodl their coins, we’ll will have to be patient to see those levels now. I am not a fan of charts but I like to study the sentiments which I feel is quiet high, and these sentiments can propel the prices upwards to 5k and above levels in the short term.

But then hope this will happen, seems realistic and not too high to reach within 2months. So in two months and 21 days, we can see Bitcoin grow by over 25%? Does it not sound too hopeful even for a bull to see Bitcoin grow so much in such a short time, given that we are still in the middle of a big bear market? It is funny to say 25% is within reach,,, of course anything is possible in the world of crypto, but where are the rest of the fundamentals to make this happen? 5 digits even we are talking about, time for people to get real.

I simply doubt that going off someone's opinion on twitter and believing it is good trading practice. Sure, you can take these into account when formulating your own analysis, but make sure that you don't just blindly believe whatever they say - often their own predictions will contradict with their future predictions (cough cough Tom Lee).

It's very possible though that bitcoin has already reached bottom and we're currently on the way up. I do expect short term to be more sideways movements more so than a definitive rally or dip, however.

A run up to $5k isn't out of the equation, assuming that the resistance at $4k is broken. That resistance however has demonstrated to be quite strong, and with the current still bearish sentiment (even though fear has decreased) within the market, I would say it isn't guaranteed that this will happen even by the end of the year. After all, we don't know for sure if prices have even bottomed yet. There could be every possibility BTC prices dip below $3k temporarily before the buying pressure takes up up again.

It is difficult to predict, moreover the current price has not fully recovered and there are no signs of increasing bitcoin for now. If we follow the spring theory, Bitcoin has been contracting for almost 13 months in the long run and for about 5 months (since November) in the short run. The chance of it going up to test 5k is pretty high when compared to the probability of going down below 3k.

Anything is possible when it comes to bitcoin market, you might see the market breaking the resistance at $4200 in an hours trading time, you cannot predict exactly when and how it happens until the market crosses those valuation. The market will recover this year but we cannot estimate how long it will go nor we can exactly know whether we will see the same rally we saw in 2017 but the market will recover from this situation in the coming months.

I support this post, I think this may be the sentiment of the market right now.   However my target is 6500 not 5000 as I think that support is a ceiling and also will have a kind of attraction to it where price rises until that area.

I am thinking this predictions may happen before may 2019. Bitcoin needs to break $4150 resistance area for it to resume in it upwards movement and for the most longest bearish trend to be over.  If the current trends that we have been witnessing since last week persist then we should expect bitcoin to break reach $5000 before end of this month and if it falls back below $3700 then it might not get to $5000 before may as bitcoin will witness another bearish momentum that might push it below $3000.

We have to see it moving so quick, look for this month of March and February, we have almost the same movement. Both months has been too stagnant and there's almost no action. That's why telling that it's going $5,000 by May is unlikely.

We can say that it's possible but looking at that timeframe, many have doubts about it. If bitcoin will reach $4,000 or so by April then it's likely that bitcoin would reach another price like $5,000 if not, there's more months to go.

We have touched it few weeks and I thought that it's already the sign that we're going up but as usual, I've wrong with speculations and those are false hopes given to me by the market. I've been reading a lot of speculations good and bad and the recent one that I've read, is that it says by June we're going to see some significant moves.

I don't think so, it will very difficult for bitcoin to touch 5K on May. Because still I believe bitcoin is bear trend. It has gone long time bitcoin trying to break $4.5K zone. Right, I'm sure everyone will remember those $1k pump during the last great bubble, you sleep, you wake up the next morning and seeing the price goes to another +$1k in a single day or even hours. You are right mate, there is still enough gap between now and may for BTC to pick that value and even above it, most speculators are even expecting the BTC to reach $10k by end of the year because economist predict that some top countries will experience major economy growth this year which some of them are already aware of the BTC investment, just that some of their citizens are looking out for the best opportunity financially to enter the market. I guess $5000 is a realistic goal at this time. We have achieved to break the $4000 barrier and obviously we need more leg up and push the price to $5000. The way we've been going over the last few weeks, I'd say $5k for BTC by May is a real possibility. The markets seem to have turned, volumes are up and confidence is flooding back. Just look at the charts. Its high 4000s now. On some exchanges it pumped over $5000.
This was a clear break out of the bottom which was $3100 - $4200. I don't want to speak too soon but this very much looking like the bottom is over and the bull run may have just started. The 2014-2015 bear market ended with a huge spike very similarly.

It wont work like that, his chart there explains or show quite well that we reached a point where price previously went sideways alot.    This matters because it indicates a larger amount of volume lying in this area, it must be cleared before we can move past it.
Quite often the reaction of the market to this will be to sell a bit more, upsetting price and bringing us lower.    That repeats until the previous price volume from last time BTC was 5k or so is cleared.   Its like snow on your driveway, get shovelling

Dude this only a speculation/prediction for bitcoin everything is possible to happen like what bitcoin did it surpass the $5000 and now the chart looks bull run again. All of us are hoping to make bitcoin back to its all time high let see if bitcoin will continue this price flow in the next couple of months.

I didn't claim that the person is Nostradamus, I share what I think is a fair prediction and evidently the prediction is a hit. So do we need to rely on him? Of course not, we should used our common sense and due diligence because at the end of the end, it will be you making the final decision.

Even though he's not Nostradamus, he still got the view on it going up in May. It's not yet May but $5,000 usd has been reached. I'll follow this guy for more information regarding what would be the future scenario for bitcoin.

I expected these prices because its the same price we had for most of the last year.   6500 as the support was true for ages or 6000 or nearby and right now we are very close yet again to this standard support.
Except right now the situation is we fell through the floor, recovered and stood up on the next floor down and climbed back upto what is now the ceiling.    The real question is not if we could get back here but how stable we are hanging off the ceiling like a fly upside down.

It's actually $5300 now,, there was an improvement on the price today and I think it will keep improving.
The prediction was it will happen in May but we still in April, so OP was so conservative and we might have a good price by May if BTC will remain bullish.

Not that fast dude, $10k is achievable but I don't see it hitting by May, I'm thinking around the last quarter of this year.

The price could go as high as $5600 and then we will see some downside again. Unless some news around comes along that will blow the game wide open again. So for me, $6k will be a big barrier, I'm very bullish about bitcoin but I'm still seeing some small pull back along the way before we can see like 5 digits again.

Yes, it is very possible that Bitcoin prices will reach the level of 6,000USD. We have already passed the 5,000USD range and this is the right time to imagine the price of Bitcoin will reach the level of 6,000USD at the end of May. There are still six weeks left and I am very optimistic that there will be a modest change, at least that the price of Bitcoin will be in the range of 5.500 to 6.500USD.

From his post he provide a link and it is another people who predicts the market price. Additionally, it was not edited because, it was been publish on the site on early march. I am not expecting that this will happen which was completely conversly in last years first quarter. I haven't seen the chart but as written it was predicted using technical analysis that is very useful and interesting to follow.

Everyone can make a 'educated guess' base on TA. So probably he got lucky or he really knows about TA that he was able to predict the price movement. Although its not that accurate, it should be May, but we hit it much earlier as predicted.

When you wishes to invest on bitcoin do it now, I am sure in coming months bitcoin will reach the 8k USD and end of this year we will find the bitcoin price at the 10k USD or even more.

 I have a question for you, why do you think price structure respects trendlines so well? Is it a guideline the big traders trade on or is it made by simple retail traders trading the trends? Why do you think the price respects these touches so well?
