I been a  long term user of Steemit and DTube for over a year now. I just had to stop my account.

Anyone out there also experience this?

The voting system is not fair. only people who are at the top get most of the money.

Other may get many votes, but no payments from them at all

Also majority of the people who make money are doing crap posts and earn lots
while people who make quality content. get little recognition.
and little pay out if any

also many top people have fake accounts, and bully, and harass and threaten anyone who tries to speak out.

Anyone else out here experience same situation?

please PM me even, this would be so helpful

I've tried to follow it for some days and soon lost interest, regular to poor quality content that one can find elsewhere easily.

Dear worldtraveller 321,

We are sorry if you had a bad experience about DTube. We do take concerns and remarks from our users seriously.

Since June 2019, there have been major changes for DTube
- we have a new blockchain, Avalon, with a new the distribution system

What does this implies ?
1. Token distribution isn't based on 7 days anymore. If you're content is great, it will receive rewards with no time limit
2. Voting system and generally, distribution system of DTube Coin (DTC) and Voting Power (VP) are different now. It doesn't provide with an early advantage
We explain the core concepts with more details here:
https://medium.com/@dtube/the-core-concept-of-the-next-big-thing-in-social-media-the-dtube-social-blockchain-d01a48fcdca8

Hopefully, this will give you and incentive to have a look at DTube again Smiley
Since things are moving quickly, we'd recommend you follow us on Twitter

All the best, and see you on our platform again

Those who buy and hold lots of steem usually make the most money but it is not the only deciding factors; good contents and the number of friends you have also help.
I do not really like the idea of people with lots of purchased steem getting to decide the important things. It probably what contributed to some of the problems Steemit is experiencing currently. A wealthy anti-steem/anti-crypto could use this to make life difficult for Steemit and the community.

I haven't looked at Dtube - it's something I need to do over the next few months.

I gave up on Steemit several months ago when I started receiving demands for money to upvote my content. I decided it was an elaborate ponzi, and it is some time since I visited my account and reviewed it. I used to own the domain SteemRewards.com, but I let that drop several months ago following my disillusionment with Steem. I guess I should have tried to sell it. Smiley

Hello JetCash,

First generation of social network based on blockchain had a lot of euphoria at that time, and were trying brand news rules, leading the way.
Some assumptions worked, other not (distribution rules could have better for instance).

With crypto-winter and prices plummeting after skyrocketing, some users may have adopted some behaviors not necessarily in the best interest for the platform.

We tried to explain that in our Dtube White Paper https://token.d.tube/whitepaper.pdf, (p. 16 to 20)
One of the key point there is: foster long term growth (e.g. going mainstream) with a dynamic inflation

Basically, DTC (DTube Coins) will depend on platform activity. The more people participate in the platform by posting, commenting, voting on video, the more coins will be distributed.

In that case, everyone has an interest to play, old and new users.

Looking forward to have your comment upon our work at DTube.

The updated DTube is really good. Since they changed in June,. I have since gone back to using them to publish my content.

very easy to upload. easy to watch videos,

also the new coins/tokens they offer are good in time will gain value with use.

Seems really good for them to be more independent . There will be a long future for DTube for sure now

We welcome your feedback (negative or positive) helping us to move forward.

Due to STEEM blockchain being down after HF22, we have to delay our token sales from 6 to 20th of September

Well that's interesting.

I'm using the Morrison's supermarket WiFi at the moment, and if I want to watch You Tube videos, I have to open a Brave Tor window. However, I can view dTube using a standard Brave window. I'll try to load a few videos later this month and see how I get on. They'll probably be a bit boring for guys here - things like using a Dremel, campervan conversions, and old tools.

Thinking about it - maybe I could make some English language videos for the Fit to Talk English project. Smiley

I am also in steemit.com but to be honest I don't understand how they share the tips. I will even post articles and have over one hundred vote but yet the tip given to me is less than 10 cent. At times I will see people having less than hundred vote but they are given up to $4 and this marvel me some times but no one to complain to.

I has to do with the distribution system and the stake.

All votes aren't the same in terms of rewards.
People can decide to "weight" their vote, depending on how much influence they have and how much they want to give.

Being on Steem, have you already claimed your DTube account (video streaming platform based on Steem DTube Chain?

Distribution rules are a bit different.

Best regards,

For any well-known platform, its voting, fan volume and comment data are unfair.
It is already a huge chain of interests that exists.
I personally feel unavoidable.
