25% of Americans know about ICO, that is pretty high, this just shows that Crypto has made inward road into US, I just hope there would be a clear regulations soon about ICO/token sale because this muddy environment is really telling on the Altcoins market with BTC dominance now around 64%

I believe in such statistics, because now many ICO projects are very bad and do not cause interest from investors

Thank you. ICO projects have failed due to lack of trusts from the project team. I wouldn't want to blame the investors when they don't invest in ICO projects anymore. The interest is gone.

Even if they want to participate in ICO, most project will not accept them except some few ones. This is because of their laws guiding many of their citizens. Most project dev believe ICO investment is very risky and they might get more in trouble when the accept US citizens and the project end up unsuccessful. We have seen in the past where project run away with investors funds or refuse to return investors fund when the sales is not successful. Such project won't want to involve US Citizens

LendEDU survey:

25% of Americans know about ICOs

15% of them plan to make investment via ICOs!

15% of 25%= Around 3.75%

https://www.initialcoinlist.com/how-do-americans-feel-about-icos/

How many are owning stocks?   got this answer on google 51.9 percent of families owned stocks  So if lets say family have 3 members that means that 17% own stocks.   This is number that is possible.   Now you add that ICOs are unregulated securities, then you can imagine how number will be much lower then 17%.

The Americans can stay away from cryotocurrency like the lilly hearted Chinese, and see how we grow to mass adoption. Even, some ICOs do not accept Americans for whatever legal reasons. I do not want to know what population of Americans there are in cryotocurrency. With or without them the community will continue to grow and adoption is just near.

The percentage could be higher if there were no scam ICO, investors are losing millions of dollars of money in scam ICO and hacking and because of these some of US investors are hesitant to invest in ICO, but when the market is up and there is a regulation, the number will definitely go up.

if it is true that 3.75% of Americans will invest in ICO, I am sure there will be many successful ICO like in 2017, because as we know America is one of the largest countries in the world and has a good economy, so that it can have a good impact on ICO and cryptocurrency in the future.

It is true that most investors are interested in ICO because of the large profits that it brings, but with this bear market, it is difficult to attract them, as well as their willingness to invest in ICO.
Because bear market is great time to buy, if hold about few years will give so many profits than we buy it when bull market. So i think not because bear market to prevent them invest in crypto but because of the regulation. So many projects prohibit US citizens

3.75% is a  good thing for the USA residents as these projects are banned in America. However, not so many people invest in ICO and IEO projects also. Most people know that many of them turned out to be a scam, and no one wants to be deceived again. However, the same statistics say that over 12% of the US citizens own cryptocurrencies, and this is cool.

The US has its own laws and its own economy. Cryptocurrencies though not prohibited, but there are strict laws that do not allow you to do much. Apparently the Americans consider the ICO not a very reliable investment.

Americans are always looking for a chance to increase their wealth. Good news but only if the US government less hell-bent on regulations, KYC then maybe we could even more Americans plan to jump in crypto.
