What is the difference between this wallet and the original? I do not like the new logo, also it is confusing, since it has nothing to do with spartancoin. I am using the old wallet and it appears to be working perfectly.

Hello, really it is. There is no difference between them in feature, especially the spec is not changed. However, there are still some update:

1. Windows Building. The original windows wallet is for Windows XP. Many compilers have stopped Windows XP support, so these compilers can not produce windows xp software any more. I have modified the code to let it build on Windows 7/8/10.

2. Unix Building. The original github code is created 5 years ago. But now the compilers and underlying libraries have been changed greatly.  And many unix distros have removed the old libs and stopped old compilers.

3. Finding Peers. The original wallet needs to "addnode" by your hands. But it is not necessary on the new wallet.


The logo ... Right ... I don't like the new logo any more. I will replace it with a more spartan-like logo in the future. I thnk "it has nothing to do with spartancoin" really means "it has nothing to do with spartan"

That"s impressive. I just released new spartancoin 1.2.0.4 wallet and the logo. Currently the blockchain size is only 447M, very small, so it is not necessary to make a bootstrap. You just wait less than half a day your blockchain will be full synced.

I would be glad if someone was really developing spartancoin wallet. Because that will make my life more simple, as I have lots of other things to do.

The logo is important, but the core thing should be the blockchain, not the GUI or something else.

However, if someone want to take over spartancoin and do good things, I will be his or her supporter. That's not only to benefit me but also everyone.

These conditions must be met:

1. Keep the blockchain safe and take careful of it.
2. Keep business active, network alive.

SouthXchange allows you to sell for decimals beyond 1 satoshi, which may be what is needed to get some movement on this coin. If you notice not much is selling at the 1sat level on unnamed exchange.
