For the spartancoin code, the building for different environment and stability are important.

I think the most important thing is let it exchangable and minerable. If there is no exchange, someone would think it is dead, although I disagree, isn't it?

The special building requirements are boost 1.66.0~1.69.0 and openssl 1.1.1, which are default on arch linux and FreeBSD. The ubuntu default packages still stop at boost 1.65 before and boost 1.0.2.

A small trick to shrink the datadir size on the fly, without restart the SpartanCoin Wallet.

Code:

$ du -h .spartancoin
$ :>.spartancoin/debug.log
$ du -h .spartancoin

Afer running many days, the debug.log will become very large, about several hundreds MB. So it is clever to clear it.


Directly delete debug.log without restart maybe cause wallet crash, so the trick is to empty it:

:>.spartancoin/debug.log
