A User contacted us saying that BiteBTC stole 0,45 BTC from him by disabling his account.
BiteBTC writes that he had violated the terms and conditions, but the user claims that he hadn't violated anything!

Of course, we don't know the full back-story, but judging by the past communication of BiteBTC we wouldn't be surprised if their new strategy was accusing users of violating their terms and conditions.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I will say this plainly, BiteBTC is a scam exchange site. Don't send your money there. You create an account, deposit moneyvand you try to access your account later you find our you are restricted for very stupid reasons you know nothing about. Either they tell you, you have 2fa authentication which u did not do and thus you can't access your account or you told you violated laws you know nothing about. Then the exchange is good at placing fake buy and sell others and transaction y making you deposit your money and when you do, you end up regretting. I have had experience with them. Avoid BiteBTC, they are after people's money not to render exchange services

The exchange is making a way for an investor or trader not to trade in their platform. Good luck on that exchange and personally in my own opinion how could one violate their rules amd violations? Probably their is a bug in their system it or their platform is not good. So I will not do trading or trusting my crypto on that exchange.

Disabling user account with his found in it is wrong if it not clearly stated in their team and conditions if there is any at all, biteBTC have being involved in series of scam accusations lately and that will affect there exchange in no time.

Haven gone through the story, it came to my mind that BiteBTC acted based on their Terms and Conditions which the user maybe ignorant to. Personally haven't used their exchange and will not condemned the exchange just because of other people opinion. Will try to register on their exchange and find out their hidden act.

You'll need to wait for months before you can use it as they force you to do KYC, which can take weeks or months. I think it's not worth your time, don't use this exchange, save your time.

What's the point of registering on this exchange just for the sake of finding out their 'hidden act'? It makes more sense to avoid something people complain about.

If user warnings here aren't enough, look at this; https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bitebtc/

We have received reports that user deposits are being withheld. Please be careful with your funds.
That message comes from Coinmarketcap.

I honestly haven't even heard of this exchange yet, and they are generating over $100 million in daily volume? Wash trade heaven. Also note how their coin prices are insanely inflated, which is another bad sign.

Just avoid any exchange who has only been in business for 2 years and below, has an unknown team and listed a lot of shitcoins which is the case for this one, 'cause they are more susceptible when it comes to shady behavior/scam/incompetency.

We should always lean on the prevention side as most of the time ppl would only stay away from a certain site when countless complaints have already risen and the damage has been done.

There's really no reason to use smaller exchanges at all in my eyes when there are plenty of bigger ones out there that are just fine like Coinbase or Binance. Smaller exchanges are the center of a lot of drama and problems, not worth your time to use them in my eyes. Stick to the more established ones in the future and you'll be fine.

If you do choose to use a smaller exchange in the future, search the name of the exchange on these forums and you'll be able to find mostly real reviews on the particular exchange you plan on using. If you can't find anything about the exchange in question on these forums, it's likely not legit or very new.

It's not a new story that things about users violate the terms and conditions, which results in the account being closed unilaterally.
Such treatment is unfair and seems to want to win alone and result in others being harmed by such unilateral actions. it doesn't hurt to not force yourself to choose exchangers like this if it is proven to do repeatedly, many recommendations that can be found about exchangers are very good.

Yeah more than enough for anyone in this forum who know this case, but for other people who still new in cryptocurrency we can't vouch it as long as this exchange still running. Most of them are newbie, who only buys a coin wherever its place without seeing an information about the exchange they choose.

Judging from the sheer amount of current unresolved scam accusations, it is clear that BiteBTC isn't an exchange you would want to use.

Even if there is a chance that they may not selectively scam you while you use them, why take this risk when you've got better alternatives that are available that most likely offer trading pairs that they offer as well, with better customer service and reputation? There is seriously no point in using them, unless you are extremely desperate and a pair is only listed by them, in which case you should be splitting up trades into chunks so that if they defraud you, only part of your funds are gone.

But regarding the excuse that the exchange used - there is no clear way of necessarily telling who's in the right and who's in a wrong in this particular instance. But breaching of ToS as well as KYC are commonly cited excuses for holding customer funds, and imho, no matter what the excuses are, holding funds that are not yours without proper proof is always shady.
