Have you ever managed to recover your losses?

I realize that to recover my losses is the hardest thing that I can because I know that I don't have a chance to recover and maybe I will get another loss. So I decide to let it go and never remember how much I lose because if I think about my losses, it only makes me sad and at that moment, I will think about how I can recover the losses which I don't think that would be easy to do. I've always realized that I don't have to try to recover the losses because that is not my reason to still playing gambling.

Well, i have never recovered my losses, some times i won in some dice games, but at the end i lost all. Gambling has never been a lucky thing for me.

Accepting the fact then why not stop playing,or just consider gambling as past time and not for profiteering so you may enjoy while losing some amount

Based on my gambling stats for how many years I never recover all my losses but sometimes I'm win a jackpot but not enough to cover all my losses but at least I still making profit in a game.

And my purpose in gambling is for entertainment purposes which can you do only if you have free time.

I did, however I was able to that on the a month after that happpned. It's because it's quite risky for me to recover them the same day I lose it as I believe if I go further it's greediness already.

NOTE: This thread is not for those small recoverable amounts like 0.01 or 0.1 BTC types, but those big 1, 2, 5, 10 and even 100 BTC losses and some miraculous stories where any of you managed to win them back.

I cant imagine myself losing that amount of money not even on its peak price. For me, its enough o get lose a .5 BTC and recover half of them in a year just for betting i guess. I have a separate fund for those so i didnt mix any. I still keep on gambling. Hopefully i can recover soon.

A must-have kind of mindset on each player do have.If you are always thinking on how to recover your losses then you are possibly making your situation even more

I never tried to recover the amount that I lost in gambling. If lost money in gambling, I move on and play again another day. If I try to recover it, I might lose more money than the usual. There's always a day were we are not lucky in gambling so don't expect everyday you go home a winner.

No, I don't chase losses. I've learned over time that it's not worth it because you could end up losing a lot more. I set a limit on the amount of money that I'm prepared to gamble with and lose. If I win, I walk away. If I lose, I walk away.

I used to recovered some of my losses before and as far as I remembered I'm gambling almost half a Bitcoin at sports betting and it took time for me to regain my losses but when I'm aware that I already got back what I've loss and I decided to go all in to a much favorable match and to cut the story short, I lose.

This is the most common scenario ever happend to every gambler  . i did also experienced that before , i feel the rush when my winning streak got high but suddenly it all replaced by alot of losses   .  i can recover my losses and i can earn a profit only if i control myself when playing a gambling but unfortunately its not easy when you are on the actual situation  .   i think there were only 1 out of 10 gamblers who can be able to recover their loss

Double bad luck maybe what he get.  if i face some experience like that, i will take a rest for a while, so i can forget my losses and play again when ready. But not for get my money back, but pure gambling that start from my capital.

Your question might be for both positive and negative. Rather than a single answer i might have both for you.

Once i have lost more then 0.5 in terms of around $2000. But was able to recover it using martingale, and it was not so easy.
I took a while but could save some of the profit and by collecting it i was able to reach those 0.5 again.

Recovering your losses is easy when its a small loss like 0.01 BTC but when you got big losses like 1 BTC its usually very difficult to fully recover.  I learnt this the hard way years ago when I first discovered dice and martingale. Basically BTC wasn't worth alot back then but I always managed to recover from like 10-12 losses in a row.

Basically if I got like 10-11 losses, I would bet low for a few rolls and usually double my bets and almost always get a winner sooner. However like martingale failure stories goes, eventually I Think I hit like 15 losses in a row, had to bet 1 BTC to make the next roll and ended up with another loss. And was cleaned out completely.

So its not always smart to try and recover your losses "get break-even" because you using are not thinking straight and you are betting 100x just to recover a small initial amount and it leads to massive losses.

This happens everywhere, not just gambling. People who buy cars which are money pits... try to sell them to someone else. People who buy stocks which go down... try to trade on margin to recover their loss", etc. Its human emotion not to lose money.

Wish you have read the Body of the topic but not the title only,this is what OP says about the question,this refers to high value losses and not just a normal gambling bettings

I am just a small time gambler so i dont have story to share
