I started using this chrome extension / app to manage my passwords for all my mining pools. Works well, so I thought I'd share it with you. It's free and runs on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android PasswordBox http://j.pbox.io/FmbRm9CqPasswordBox http://j.pbox.io/FmbRm9Cq

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Thanks for the link. I have been using lastpass, and I would probably switch to this one later. It always makes me feel better with open-source lol

Open source rules but I prefer holistic solutions that span platforms and devices. PasswordBox has native mobile native apps for iOS and Android that make life a lot easier.

I just write down those I tend to forget on paper. Can't beat full cold storage for passwords.

Yes it is. For example, an antique paper is better.

I use ccrypt on linux. Basically creates a text file named passwords with one line per password:
bitcointalk.org supersecretpass mintpal.com xjkuiuieur
Encrypt the file:
ccencrypt passwords
To retrieve a password:
ccat passwords.cpt | grep -i bitcointalk
Create an alias:
alias kk='ccat passwords.cpt | grep -i'
Then you can do:
kk bitcointalk
to retrieve the password for bitcointalk.

Yes it is. For example, an antique paper is better. Yup, much as I hate the idea of having passwords recorded anywhere but in my head, I realized that offline storage and physical security trumped any kind of on device storage. When you take the bare minimum precautions of unique 20+ random character passwords for each site to gain any reasonable hope of security, they become too difficult to remember all the time.
