In a response to jet Cash's thread, i stated clearly the type of discussions I would love to engage in,
I would love to read about users life experience maybe on the serious discussion or Ivory tower board. How bitcoin has affected their lifes.

Since I couldn't find any thread I decided to start one myself. I know in the near future some users we have on forum might stop visiting or life will have other plans for them. I want to seize this opportunity to learn from your experience before we go our separate ways.

Personally, before investing in bitcoin I was just a boy lost in the numerous options to choose from but now I know what I want to build my career on. I also notice some common cryptocurrency terminology have found their way into my everyday life. Time spent on social media has reduced drastically since I now spend most of my social media time on bitcointalk. I also notice a sudden criteria developed unconsciously towards choosing of new friends, they must be crypto/blockchain oriented.

How has bitcoin affected your life (positively and negatives). How was your life before you invested in bitcoin (cryptocurrency in general) and how has your life been after then

Let me first to discuss it here mate. Wink
Alright, I will start in the days before I invested time, money and effort in Crypto industry. I was just the kind of person who wanted to earn money with my passion (which is a computer). Since I wasn't able to learn how to work programming, yet I wanted to see myself in front of the monitor and having a business/job while using it.

I did my best the find ways to do my dream job. I was really tough until I met this guy, he is now my best friend. He introduced me the Bitcoin way back in 2013. We did faucets and some crypto gambling before. I never thought that I will be involved with this wonderful platform (bitcointalk.org) but I am really happy to be with the industry for years.

I grew up rough, then in foster homes, then rough (and semi-lawlessly) again for awhile.
After a few years of sobriety, I went into real estate, became civically involved, socially responsible and constantly aware of every day ethics.
During the real estate crash it became apparent how disconnected stats were for my industry from the actual numbers, economics, bubbles, the bail outs, ect.
I've been online since early 90's but did not go back into online chats (beyond list-serves) until Zillow, conversations there began my interest in economics--and eventually; specifically government's inevitable mucking it up with their interference of it.

My daughter played online video games growing up so when I first heard of bitcoin I thought it was video game money but not in a completely dismissive way.
It took me over a year to completely 'buy in" and then a little while longer to decide to learn about it while using it <--that's when I joined this forum officially to be able to ask questions about mining.

The decentralized concept for money, smart contracts...these are incredibly powerful ideas.

I was introduced to my friend who has long been in the field of bitcointalk.org, I always ask him to be able to teach me how to work. at the beginning I began to study it until now and I also started learning to invest. since knowing the digital world (cryptocurency) my life began to improve, my daily needs were fulfilled

Life before discovering BITCOIN:
I was just a normal man thinking linear about the future after college and live a simple life. I always envisioned myself working at a corporate company right after I graduate college and do what most conventional corporate jobs order me what to do. Simply, working non-stop to support my family was the only thing that drives me to work hard.
People sometimes see me as a robot on how I operate things since the I am a person who is inclined to following rules and instructions to finish my goal.

Life after discovering BITCOIN:
It was one Thursday afternoon during my class break, one of my closest friend approached me and told me about bitcointalk.org and he gave me a quick background about the potentials of cryptocurrencies in general. I was hesitant at first and I even doubted him but when he showed me his earnings, it gave me this motivational boost. On that day, my life changed on how I viewed my goals and on how to achieve them.

Earning weekly to campaign signatures and short-term investing to maximize its volatility are some of the ways on how I capitalized earning bitcoins. I lost worth 0.04 bitcoins to USI-tech investment scheme and I mishandled most of my expenses into purchasing irrelevant stuff. But those are some of the experiences I considered that shaped and molded me to become this person today.
Currently, I am earning bitcoins weekly and studying law as my future profession which I would exercise in the future to help my country accept cryptocurrencies.

Realization:
Cryptocurrencies really changed my perspective on how I achieve my goals as an individual. Before I live this life thinking that if I work hard enough, I would be able to reach my dreams no matter how big they are. But the reality is, even if the dream is there, without embracing the perfect opportunity then there is always that chance of not achieving them.

My answer may sound exaggerated on my life before and after discovering bitcoin but that is how it completely changed me mentally and psychologically.
I hope others have positive experiences on how cryptocurrencies changed their lives for the better.

Thanks @qwertyup23 for sharing, I also lost to USI-TECH and few other scam projects that pump up in my country back then. The promoters were the main reason newbies joining the cryptocurrency industry actually believe in those project. right now there's a new one trending called IML they promise same benefits as USI-TECH but it takes experience users to identify this projects as scam. And I try my best to warned individuals I see promoting the scam in disguise of trading Forex/cryptocurrency for her victims. Sometimes it'a good we experience this scams because they teach us life lessons, in my case it's from Ponzi scheme I got to know about bitcoin and ever since my life have be different and now I'm a new me.

Bitcoin was my introduction to open markets in general and economics. Before bitcoin? Zero interest in markets and economics. They seem to be so boring to me. Well, Bitcoin made me almost obsessed with Austrian economics. Now I'm watching and reading as much as I can, especially stuff from Saifedean Ammous. If you haven't read The Bitcoin Standard yet, go get it. NOW.

My life before I got into crypto was boring I would wake up go to work then go home then rest , I could only have fun on my rest day and it is only 1 day how could I enjoy it?
Then after I found out about crypto and earn money with a shorter time and at home that is when I decided to quit my job and enjoy my life.
I am earning through trading and joining campaigns and I am earning more than my regular wage earner friends.
The best part is I am just at home and I could spend more time with my family .

I think it affected my life positively by giving me a chance to earn on the internet at home .
The negative part is I am always at home and doesn't go out anymore.
And it also provides me money for my needs so I think it is something to be happy and it is a positive thing.
And also a negative part is I don't have enough fun in my life because I am too busy on crypto and I think I am being more and more addicted to it because of my profit.

Before my acquaintance with cryptocurrencies I had more free time. Now I spend all my free time at the computer. And this is a big minus for my family. But there are big advantages - this is an additional income that I get from cryptocurrencies and the pleasure that I get from the fact that I do it.
What happens after I quit? It's a great question. Cryptocurrencies are addictive and these events should always be monitored. Getting rid of cryptocurrencies completely at the moment would be foolish, because this industry has great prospects for development.
So for me, there is no such thing as "after". I'm with you!

I used to work in a factory before, 12hours daily. And when I get home at night, I go through crypto news on my facebook feeds.
During the time I was working there, I try to talk to my colleagues about crypto but they always ignore and think that I'm stupid and trying to talk them into some MLM or a pyramid scheme. One of my boss use jokingly ask me “how's your bitcoin doing”.
I have a friend now that we use to discuss about crypto any time we are together. And my family members are always like what are this guys discussing. Haha.
It's fun knowing about Bitcoin and I never regretted it.

Cryptocurrency is really life-changing. I was too focused on my career before but my wage is just enough to sustain our daily necessities. I'm aiming to save something for my future until I have known cryptocurrency from a friend. I was hesitant and doubtful about it before but crypto itself has proven me a lot.  Things got better and my financial status became lighter. I'm now able to buy not just the things that I need but also the things that I want. I'm saving enough for my future.

Well, I will tell a change in my personal view about digital assets when I know Bitcoin and altcoins

Before knowing Bitcoin and altcoins
Actually, I never think that there are no other popular digital assets besides stock asset. I assume people don't really like digital asset like the stock because it is difficult to learn and understand. So, the digital asset is only for all people but it is for certain people only.

After knowing Bitcoin and altcoins
I realize that the digital asset is something interesting and not difficult to understand through having Bitcoin or altcoins as our digital assets. Those are easy to manage and to own by anyone. The digital asset becomes popular and attracts all people around the world through crypto innovation.

first, I must say that this is a very interesting topic, just like you said, I was just an ordinary boy on the street hustling day and night to make ends meet before I meet crypto, now, my life is not far different from yours(to cut the long story short) the only difference is that you spend most of your social time on bitcointalk, I spend most of mine on telegram reading and chatting about crypto

100% positive and crypto change my life.

Before I entered here, I am just an ordinary guy who always aim to earn high for his family, but despite the effort I make, a life living in a paycheck after paycheck will never get you satisfied. I got promoted in a higher position of my job, but still that does not give the financial freedom I am looking.

Until one day I decided to risk some in crypto have I have made a decent profit last bull run, and not only that, being active in the forum gives me a lot of productive times and I can use my privilege being a member here to earn without investing.
