Honestly, I think yeosaga was attempting to be humorous as he added the "/s" at the end of his post.

Honestly, I think yeosaga was attempting to be humorous as he added the "/s" at the end of his post.

I think when someone is trying to settle the Estate of their brother, there is no room for humor or insensitivity, especially from someone who is new and may have purchased an old account.

thanks!

100% agree, just hoped to provide some clarity.  Not like I'm voucing for the guy.  It was a poor choice to make, but I don't think he was *actually* saying the photo was shopped.

Honestly, I think the easiest way to know is wait for a confirmation post from MJ?

I mean we can play the “this is photoshopped” game forever... a post from MJ confirming he has talked to hashmap, I would think, would suffice to give enough validity to know it’s not a scam attempt.

Edit: Insert foot in mouth. Sorry all Tongue

He did on page 1. OP said he was using mj as escrow and mj confirmed, as long as that's followed everyone should be safe to transact in the deal with the op.

How is making a joke about another user thinking this is a photoshop insensitive to the estate?  Huh

Blatant photoshop.

Beware of this scam!

Derails the thread with your nonsense for starters.

To be very blunt: The person came here to try and sell his dead brothers items - you tell me if you don't think its insensitive to post crap like that?

If you dont think so, then there are bigger personal issues you need to look at.

I'd like to end this portion of the back and forth and let the OP focus on doing what he needs to in order to get his family's estate in order, which is hard enough to do without jokers posting junk.

thanks!

I spoke/chatted with "Hashmap" (Tommy's brother) on a different platform shortly after his brother passed as he wanted some info on tracking blockchain wallets etc.

I never spoke/chatted again with him until I sent a PM last night asking him if he could recall his:

1. Username on the other platform we spoke on
2. Name of the platform and channel we chatted in
2. Things specifically mentioned a year ago (What we talked about)

So, that said, EVERYTHING matched 100%. I am positive this is Tommy's brother, and that said, he's not a "hard core Bitcoiner", like most of us - he's just doing his best to help his brother's family out by selling some items.

Thank you.

I am not here just spamming. I have a formal bid on the item, it was my way of letting my presence known.

Now stop spamming this thread with your nonsense claims trying to spin my light-hearted fun, instead of the sinister thing you are trying to spin it into.

I was making fun of the analysis of the OPs legitimacy. I never said any jokes about...what you said. How can you even come to that conclusion?

I am not here just spamming. [edited for lack of sensitivity] How can you even come to that conclusion?

We get it, but you're really not making it easy to forget the folly with your repeated mentions of loss lacking any sensitivity. Let this thread run please without derailing. This is a cheerful place.

Sorry you lost your brother

Thank-you Gatorelf. And to others who sent their condolences. I did want to call attention and special thanks to wheelz1200. Wheelz helped me early on when I was trying to track down Tommy's virtual currencies. He unflinchingly gave me advice that pointed me in a proper direction.  It was not that long after my chats with Wheelz that I found one of Tommy's primary stashes on one of the exchanges. So again, I thank you wheelz1200.

And now to wrap up this thread: I received an offer on the 2013 Casascius 1 BTC gilt silver MS 66 1Ag5wGUw depicted in my first posting, that I have accepted from interested buyer, and therefore this item can be considered *sold* at this point in time.

And I thank you for your consideration.

Locking this topic on the way out.
