I accidentally deleted my backup files and restored my seed using same wallet version 3.3.4.
after restore, everything is fine but the transactions description is not restored. this is really a pain.

what should I do about it? the last time I restored the wallet. transactions description was restored fine.

The transaction descriptions aren't restored when using the backup seed. They are only saved on the wallet file.

AFAIK, you can Export them in "Wallet -> Labels -> Export" and import in your restored wallet in "Wallet -> Labels -> Import";

I'm pretty sure they are gone.

All the seed does is tell which private-keys the wallet should generate. It doesn't carry the Labels information. There is also a native plugin on Electrum that saves those Labels on a server, but since you didn't use them, it's not possible anymore.

Ahh I learned my lesson like 10th time today. but thanks for the help. could you please tell me the name of that plugin and when it was last updated?
I will start using it right away.

I'm not sure if it still works, but if you go to "Tools -> Plugins" on Electrum, there is a list of things you can enable. The one I'm talking about is the one called "LabelSync";

Here is the description of the plugin:

"Save your wallet labels on a remote server, and synchronize them across multiple devices where you use Electrum. Labels, transactions IDs and addresses are encrypted before they are sent to the remote server."

Here's a guide to using the label sync plugin. Also see how to properly backup your wallet.

Thanks. I just did. it seems to be working fine.
