Hi Guys, Looks like Bitmain has released the new Antminer z11 for equihash mining. Here is a link to the YouTube vid if you don’t want to watch: https://youtu.be/ZvgjhyPUGosThey also released the new 2nd gen chips for the antminer s17 pro! What do you think about these two new miners? Releasing a 2nd gen chip already?

No, wait at least a month or 2. Just a marketing action to prevent people from ordering M20 from microBT.

Not alt all. Theirs Komodo that's the next best thing to zcash. I plan to mine this next with z9 mini now that bitmain has more powerful hardware. Then theirs more skeptical projects like bitcoin private. Might be worth mining at low difficulty if you have z9 mini

It's sold out, I was awake when it dropped and able to purchase but decided against it. Sold out in a hour, heard they only did sub 2000 units. Not really sure what is going on with that fork.. what zec does and is suppose to do are two different things with a idiot dev like zooku.. we know this.

Wonder how the efficiency is going to be on the S17. I imagine the S17 series is just going to be in the same form factor as the current S15 and T15 cases, though I do wonder if the S17 Pro is going to be in a different form factor as well.
Those with the Z11 in the next few months will probably break even before Zcash forks (if it even will fork), though difficulty will likely continue to rise on ZEC as more of these units are released to the public.

There will not be 100 day payback or even 300 day payback. These machines would be unprofitable, unless ZEC goes up 400%, in which case you could just buy ZEC outright.

Not sure how great these are, the the power to hash is not no better then a Innosilicon A9. I have some z9s and mini z9s and I'm going to skip these. Right now it would take 100 days to pay off, throw in difficulty rise with the threat of ZEC going back to GPU only mining its a big risk.

Like I said earlier. Worst case scenario you can mine Komodo. Not that huge of a risk. Kmd actually a good coin. You don't know what real asic mining risk is until you preorder an obelisk dcr1 like I did.

cheers to those who bought the z9
hope yall never ROI when the z11 comes out
rinse and repeat
I earned my money back on my Z9-Mini within three weeks. Bought it with LTC and mined on Mining Pool Hub, auto-exchanging back to LTC. LTC now isn't worth as much in fiat as it was then ($160/LTC) but I did earn back my initial investment, coin-for-coin. Of course being lucky with a first batch helped. Anyone ordering a short time later was S.O.L. Not saying the manufacturer is greatawesomewonderful (I think their marketing practices are borderline criminal), rather highlighting alternative thinking in regards to return on capital. Mining returns need not always be measured in USDollars.

I am still 80 % GPU and really don't like ASICS but 200+ % daily profit on Z series is good stuff. Even if its a small amount of $ the percentage don't change.

No way and no how Z9 (not mini) first batch paid for itself.

I ordered 4 of the Z11 and will pay the Trump tariff like most other Mericans who shop in China. Please don't judge my stupidity.

It was $2k batch 1, $850 batch 2. But $650 if you scoop up $250 coupons for $50.
