Antminer Z11 equihash miner from Bitmain Released - Antminer S17 PRO 2nd GEN

How much was the z9 from bitmain, I remember ordering one then getting hit with the tariff, lol.

It was $2k batch 1, $850 batch 2. But $650 if you scoop up $250 coupons for $50.

For mini... not for Z9.

Batch1 Z9 was 3,442.64 shipped for me per unit before import tariffs of 26.5%.

No clue based on not knowing the amount of units sold in this first batch.  But based on what we all know about bitmain, they will bury their customers, no way they let people make too much money back so depending on how coin prices go will determine how many of these they spit out into the market.

Too bad a ZMaster is expensive used, the efficiency is about the same as a Z11.

In the US there seems to be a number of Ebay listings for Z11 preorders, though you're going to pay a pretty steep premium through those sellers as they jack up their prices due to import fees and PP/Ebay fees. Ebay provides you with very good buyer protection so there shouldn't be issues with buying on there unless you're buying from someone with 0 feedbacks.

You could also make a WTB post for a Z11 in the Computer Hardware section (click for link) on this forum. Always use escrow while buying and selling here if you choose to go this route.

The date spread on these two shipping days are odd for the orders... the first one covers 2 weeks but is "only" 124 orders. Day 2 is 10 orders over right at 2 weeks also.

It also does not say how many units per order.  My order was either 48, 49, or 50.  Payments all arrived at exactly the same time for these three orders.  My order was for 4 units.

Nice - I posted an update at the end of my "ZSeries" thread, but for posterity I'll toss a quick update here. I don't know if unlocks for the Z11 will be needed or not. It defaults to 718Mhz ("Turbo") mode on a fresh install, and 681Mhz in "Balance" mode. Beyond that, the firmware attempts to auto-tune the frequency.

The user cannot specify a frequency (there is an exception via the command line, but that is locked out).
A frequency specified in the cgminer.conf is ignored.
SSH is disabled.
The image is "signatured" so other firmwares cannot (easily) be installed.

I have an individual or two in the pipeline who are expecting to receive Z11s and I will test on them remotely to see if there is further "oomph" (ability) in the hardware with the software limits removed.

If there is more to be had out of the hardware, I will release a firmware for it -- or if there is a desire to actually be able to configure the unit as one desires instead of it being "automatic".
I do have the ability to bypass the signature checking, but if I do end up releasing a firmware will likely only support the SD card method for installation... I don't really want to release the first of my bypass methods into the wild for a couple of reasons.

it is best if you live in the united states to establish a gray import through canada. it will be so much cheaper than buying it in ebay. in addition, defective shipments are often sold in ebay.

All 4 have been running for about 3.5 hours and averaging about 140 KSol/S each.  So far, 2 of them have dropped the freq on one chain to 724.

Would you be willing to send me a copy of the system log from one of your z11s? If so, I will provide you an email address.

I’m hoping having some log contest will help with understanding some of what they have implemented in my reverse engineering efforts.

I can generate an image that provides the same control as my Z9 and mini variants (ie manual control over each hashboard), but I would have to disable auto tuning on an initial release with the information I have so far... and who knows if more can be squeezed out of these things...
