Cheers! We do offer a FreeBSD install. It'd be nice to get some more customers using it. We're one of the few providers who provide a fully virtual FreeBSD machine.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hello! BitVPS is proud to introduce our new Virtual Dedicated Servers! What is a virtual dedicated server?A virtual dedicated server is a virtual private server that is shared with less users than the typical virtual server. You are generally able to use more resources for a longer period of time with a virtual dedicated server. Each server is loaded with dedicated resources. No other virtual server is able to touch/see them. Each of these VDS is on a dual quad core system with 24GB of ram shared by only 4 people total. Each has an even share of the system so other users' usage does not adversely affect any other users. For more information, and dynamically updated pricing: http://www.bitvps.com/services-pricing/hosting/virtual-dedicated-servergrubles

Server and management console seem to be down. (No SSH, console gives "timed out error") Any info?
EDIT: Problem has been fixed. Response was quite speedy.

It is with heavy heart I announce that BitVPS now accepts PayPal. We've had several customers who've asked for it.
Nothing changes with BitVPS as far as service. We just needed to reach a wider market than Bitcoin only. It's the only way we can stay in business.
However! Paying with Bitcoin is still *cheaper*. People paying with PayPal will incur extra fees.
We love you all.

Got a BitVPS service for hosting a litecoin pool (mine.liteco.in) and have been extremely impressed: Fast setup, helpful staff (thanks James!), great prices, and fast servers--getting great performance/price ratio.
