Crypto Mass Adoption Solution: combining education, gamification and rewards

The digital currency/asset market is gaining wider attention. Even though places to exchange fiat for cryptocurrencies are growing in numbers there are only a few of them that are reliable. A much faster means to reach mass adoption has come from somewhere else. The perfect use cases are “airdrops” and “coins for actions programs”.

“Slipping money into someone’s pocket is a powerful way to get their attention.” - Spencer Bogart, a partner at San Francisco-based Blockchain Capital

Not only these programs give the potential to earn “free” money for the end-users but also gives them the opportunity to test and learn about the underlying ecosystem technology powering the token. Isn’t that the way all this Bitcoin mania began? A small group of people transferring bitcoin to each other, experimenting with the concept of transferring borderless money in few minutes. Let’s remember that not only cryptos fluctuate in value like financial assets, but unlike financial assets, they can be used to enable digital ecosystems in this way they are usable or utile!

I am sharing a list of pioneers that support the idea that mass adoption will come from a combination of education, gamification and rewards. Please share your thoughts and opinions and complete the list with the other initiatives that aren't listed here.

I think you should also add Elrond and LTO Network community platform. They build a community platform where supporters can help them with adoption and get rewards in return (in forms of their tokens). I think that's a new way of 'bounty hunting' where users needs to be really an active and 'real' supporters in order to get rewards. So instead of quick writing and dumping, you need to make lots of articles or other contents and holds tokens.

Here's their site:

True, most projects have failed ... they only require mundane refers such as sharing on twitter e.g .. this results from the actual marketing campaign to a dubious spam campaign that discourages reputable investors of looking into the project. I really remember the altcoin bull run end and early 2017/18 how much people spammed twitter and yotube with their refer links and wrote like: THIS IS THE BEST PROJECT EVER JUST INVEST YOUR MONEY 100000000% MOON FOMO LAMBO... lol I think there are only very few who have understood what marketing really means (coinbase for example or Swissborg). I even think that those projects that tried to market their self through people dumping refer links on yt and twitter are to be sued for the hype and the unreasonably increase of value of shilling and shitcoins... because this fomoed people into worthless tokens and just that has very broken the confidence of uncountable people in the crypto market

Yeah, as much as I dislike saying it but I think the coinbase, bitcoin.com models of education are the most sleek, and most easy to follow for the mainstream Joe who's going to Google bitcoin and how to learn it.

Strangely enough, one of my first Googling results all those years ago took me to 99bitcoins.com. Can't recall exactly what the introduction was, but it led to a call to action to get 10,000 satoshi (more than enough to play around test transactions with, even if it's considered dust today).

I don't know if faucets are good any longer, but certainly airdrop models have worked well for some (but failed horribly for majority).

Think you've got to separate pure marketing from "as wide as possible" distribution.

There is a big difference between the people of the first world countries and the people of the very poor countries. The people of rich countries have much better financial conditions and have more facilities in buying bitcoin. For example: someone who lives in the US who earns a good salary and listens to bitcoin and decided to invest in bitcoin, can take $ 4000 and buy 1 BTC with the greatest ease. But someone who lives in a very poor country like my country, for example, would not be able to buy 1 BTC easily for lack of money. so the option for those who live in the very poor countries is make faucets and participate in  signatures and bounty campaigns. The problem in all this is that fresh money only enter in the crypto world if someone goes to the bank and take their FIAT and buy bitcoin. So I consider mass adoption the act of many people buying bitcoin using their FIATs

The problem in all this is that fresh money only enter in the crypto world if someone goes to the bank and take their FIAT and buy bitcoin. So I consider mass adoption the act of many people buying bitcoin using their FIATs

And this is the same comparison I'd make when there are people who ask why would anyone sit at their computer the whole day collecting faucets from 100 different sites. I last made calculations in 2016 and it was a good enough collection - without multi accounting - to earn above min wage in some countries, costs of electricity included. In fact, the savings from transport (time and money) to get to work in many developing countries is itself a big boon. And these guys definitely convert to fiat to pay bills, they're not the holders and accumulators most others are.

I'm not suggesting people go ahead and do faucets, but if there's a way they could do that while learning more about the tech, then there's a chance you actually convert people over... like I said, plenty of good models of airdrops if the main aim is widest possible distribution.
