Such a great news. There are still so many users around the globe until now that uses messaging apps like kakaotalk. Id they are about to finally decide to make it a crypto wallet then it may attract new users to download that app. I also be agreed that it may somehow affect the market's situation of these will finally decided.

First is telegram and now KakaoTalk? It's very unusual when a communication company enters the business of cryptocurrency. Some of the analyst seen a progressive income when having learnings in cryptocurrency.
All of the social media platforms are taking a step towards advanced technology, they have stocks and now a cryptocurrency. Even mobile company like Samsung that allows their device for a hardware wallet.

KakaoTalk user here. Though not confirmed yet, taking it into consideration is already a good news imo. As other members said, KakaoTalk is not as popular and widely use compared to other messaging apps, but hey 44 million local users is a huge number. We won't know, other apps might take it into consideration too after hearing the news or right after it has been integrated by KakaoTalk (if ever it happens).

As the article says, nothing has been decided yet, this is just an idea. There is a lot of time between the idea and the launch. And we are not immune to seeing a company coin which will have maybe nothing cryptographic, just a random token. If the company isn't dealing with the existing cryptos (BTC, ETH,etc) and prefer to create its own then there is nothing usefull in term of "adoption".

I think Kakaotalk focuses only in some countries that's why they can't be matched with some other large messaging apps.
Well, these geographically oriented platforms are quite important for adoption considering that competitors like whatsapp aren't allowed to operate everywhere. This is how you reach every spot of the world. I think that with time, even the Chinese government will have to admit that they can't stop Bitcoin and open up more instead of trying to shut down and ban everything. People think China is out of crypto, but they aren't. It wouldn't even surprise me if China is still leading in terms of being the country with the most crypto related users. It's not for nothing that weird Asian exchanges became so popular. Chinese traders use them. True, they have their own territory to spread the adoption and it's really good to see that Kakaotalk is doing it. They can have their own reason for doing this such as riding the popularity of crypto's or it's just they really see the future of it. China isn't really out of crypto, I've seen some videos on how some people shows on how you can avail goods there with bitcoin. They probably just want to lowkey themselves while the market is on this phase. The question that runs on my mind, what will be the next big messaging app to have an announcement like this?

Kakaotalk maybe is the South Korean's biggest messaging application but I dont think it is one of the most popular app worldwide. As what I heard, they are going to have their own Blockchain network called Klatyn. I'm not really sure if it will be a success project but I think it will be more hype if the app that is going to integrate crypto wallet is Whatsapp which is the number one used messaging app all around the world.
hopefully all digital messaging applications can be integrated with crypto immediately. if we can easily use applications that can support crypto trading, the future of digital money can spread very quickly throughout the country.

Well it's not surprising that there's a like kakaotalk that will enter in crypto because we all know that many apps or platforms are enter in crypto like telegram and many more. And also kakaotalk is not the most popular app today.

This is too normal. Some electronic applications always need quick payments without the need for credit cards. I really enjoyed this. Sometimes I want to use an app service but I have to provide a Visa or MasterCard. But I'm too small to get those cards. I think crypto will help us pay more quickly.

It is still unclear how everything gonna work. Large companies are less likely to issue a cryptocurrency with a free price. The other thing is that they may use their own blockchain without a chance to use their currency outside their messenger. Then it will cause no influence on the rest of crypto cimmunity.

One of the most popular? I don't think so and the hype of this messenger is over.I've actually tried this out in previous years but I decide to make use another messaging app.About the integration of crypto wallet, its a good sign of adoption but wondering if there are still people who do make use of this stuff.

I don't subscribe to fact that kakao is one of the most used chatting application, this messaging app has 80% of it users based in Asia with the remaining 20% from other countries who understands some part of asian languages. Although this is a great steps from kakao developers but I believe cryotocurrency is meant to be for everyone but limiting it to one part due to language barriers is not so good.

Great news for koreans to have blockchain within their daily messaging app, certainly it's not big like WhatsApp but I guess poeple are anticipating for the enjin effect for such news and let's hope for speedy integration, it's a really great use case to step out more crypto transactions

This is still a good news for crypto, it's a small start but with more and more that are adopting, this will help for a big adoption. We of course hope for bigger, like Facebook as it has a huge number of users, majority of online users are using facebook, but we are building and we are going at the right path, eventually we will get their attention and like many others, they will also adopt.

Yeah right, this is good news for Bitcoin, because many large companies are now running Blockchain in large applications like KakaoTalk, then Whatsapp will follow. So I am optimistic that this will increase the prestige of Bitcoin to the public.

We of course hope for bigger, like Facebook as it has a huge number of users, majority of online users are using facebook Facebook is the antithesis of bitcoin. Facebook exists only to invade your privacy, harvest your data, and sell your information. They exist purely for profit, and anything and everything they do is a byproduct of their desire for more data mining and more profit. There are plenty of news articles doing the rounds at the moment about Facebook designing and launching their own "crypto". In reality, it's not a crypto at all - it is a completely centralized payment processor, which they will maintain full control over. Facebook have no interest in giving any amount of control to their users. They will never adopt bitcoin.

Now many platforms, including instant messengers and social networks, are considering the possibility of integrating crypto wallets into their services. The function of making micropayments will also be useful and all this will increase the spread of cryptocurrencies around the world.

Well, it's possible that they can sell our information, but we have the authority to take care of them in case they will break the law. Prior to sign up, we are agreed on their terms, so that means we trusted them our information, and it's only part of the risk if they will sell our data. Just like when we deal with bank, we give our data and we entrusted them, but nothing really beats the decentralized system as it's not human, it's pure algorithm, and therefore no emotion and no greed like human have. There are plenty of news articles doing the rounds at the moment about Facebook designing and launching their own "crypto". Could be true, and people will have a choice whether they will adopt wit this or not. But in general point of view, they will eventually become part of the market even if they are centralized, so this is good as we will increase in volume.

I'm also one of Kakaotalk users and I'm very support of this plan.
I'm still confused with big companies like Facebook, Twitter, and others.. why are they still considering integrating their applications with cryptocurrencies, if they receive cryptocurrency I am very confident that their application users will increase, investors and their company profits will definitely increase..
