Check the blockchain explorer; your coins are still there. Pull your key and put it in a new wallet, after the re-scan you can try sending again, wash rinse & repeat as necessary.

Does the malleability issue effect QT?

I'm no expert and certainly don't believe any of that conspiracy nonsense but... btcd wallet ASAP?
