Hello friend ...
I want to ask you? why do they use animated photos? is it currently trending!
Do you think this is feasible to follow, while teams that use real photos sometimes end up in fraud.
give your opinion.

Animated photos in the project team are not a trend, even though they look very impressed in their appearance, because the original photos do not necessarily guarantee they are not cheating, so if there is a team that uses photos in animated images it is doubtful the clarity of the project they are running.

Why would they do that, what is the motive is it because of the trend, trend on what, it's not a trend in investment or crowdfunding to do animated photo, this is trying to deceive investors on the real identity of the team, I will not invest nor promote such promote that uses animated photo.

From my point of view, animated profile photo is a Red Flag. If you are serious about a project then a decent enough to put a proper profile photo, of course, there's an exception if you are promoting an anime company or something similar. But if you are in a crypto project it is best that you put a proper profile photo.

it's not a trend, it's definitely fraud. I often see it like that, it's better to just avoid it.

It was not a trend because they only covered their identities so their names behind the screen were not bad, and even people's photos were not a guarantee because there were many threads of Scam Accusations that the team proved to be using fake identities

if you are talking about user avatars on the bitcointalk profiles (like my current one) then you have to know that you can no longer do that because the admin disabled them and only those who already had such avatars kept them for the time being.

but if it is some other animated photo (since your OP is not clear) then it all depends on the design. it can be good or bad, for instance if it is a well designed animated photo that is not too crowded, or too fast and wild then it can be a nice thing to have.

I am not sure at all with animated profile photos, even the original profile photo does not always guarantee. I suggest that it is better to follow a clear project and this transparent team is far better than the team that uses animated photos. I always avoid this because I don't want this job to end in vain.

If you see any profile with animated pictures, you better be careful. It means the team wants to be anonymous which makes such a project dangerous to invest in.

Animated photos is not a threat to the promotion of the project and its posted features. In my opinion, there is no such big difference between animated and normal pictures of team members.

It was before because of the belief about cryptocurrency as full anonymity but when it comes to a project that needs crowdfunding from the investors, it is not decent to post an animated profile of a team.  Why do they hide their real photo? So I agree it is a red flag to see a project that needs funding to use an animated photo.  Unless the project is fully funded by the team itself and need not collect investment from people.

I don't know about projects using animated team profile photo. Can you link a project that is using it?

But normal pictures should be ok of a project team.  Smiley

What do you mean by animated. Do you mean dynamic profile photos or virtually created one? For me it is not important, the important thing is if the team is transparent and KYC verified.

i agree with your point. if a certain project wants to raise their funds from the community and they are using animated photos, you need to be careful with your investments. they can easily abandon the project if they want to because they are anonymous. the major reason why a particular project is using animated photos or avatars is to stay anonymous and they don't want their identities to be exposed. normally, these projects have hidden agenda, either to run away with the funds or they want to keep their identities private to avoid legal proceedings from their country. you need to do your own research if you encounter a project like this.

For me, from my personal opinion is like this. People who use real photo sometime can run after get money from people who invest on their ICO, how people can believe if they use animated photo. I mean actually it is ok, but must be accompanied with real profile like in linkedin or anything else that can prove he is real person.

Actually it makes no sense whatsoever for any project Dev to hide behind a mask be it an animated image or a blank profile picture. I insist, if a project team and dev has nothing to hide, there is simply no reason why they should hide behind any cloak. A clear image and brief detail about a team goes a long way in reassuring would be investors that truly, there is a team behind the project. This atmosphere is volatile and as such deserves all the carefulness one can get.

I found this, maybe there are still many more that I haven't found.
isn't this including an anonymous team?
but why the project is still running, even many are following it.

If they are using animated photos, then that is the way how they design their website. How can you identify if they are a scam? Simply do research, I believe that some of the photo you are saying that is animated contains their name, description or even job backgrounds or past companies that they worked for. Also, I do believe that if they are real ICO, they won't use totally animated photos, or they have some secondary or supporting photo for that animated one. It is not a good decision if they want investors to invest in their project.

For me it depends on how they express their team, but for me they should take a formal picture, this is to convince many people that they are so serious to run their project, that was only my opinion.

Are they running ICO crowdfunding or just an Airdrop project. I know a project who hide their identity like BitWhite but they only do a bounty and Airdrop to distribute the coin and the project still alive and more development. But if they run ICO then you better avoid that project since they hiding their profile identity so they can easily run out to the project.
