It is really laughable.

They are giving out few cents and in return they are asking for your identity. Just don't join if you see an airdrop asking for a kyc.

Polymath gave out 250 tokens on airdrop for kyc (it was 1.5$ at each in that time) and eximchain gave 500$ worth of tokens for a kyc still it was because ico cancelled and was a gift for people who whitelisted. Still, it doesn't always mean they are giving out cents.

The issue of KYC always raises questions whose answers are mostly not very discerning to the ears. It is quite unfortunate, I know most crypto enthusiasts are not comfortable giving out their personal information for KYC but there is little we can do about the situation at the moment.  Most of these projects claim they are under a legal jurisdiction where KYC is very important for many business projects. The new trend is increasingly becoming worrisome as many airdrops are even requiring KYC verification from participants.
In my own opinion. requiring KYCfor airdrop participants is not a good idea for an ICO to have. We all know that airdrop is one of the best ways to promote an ICO project/s to the public audience, and if the team will ask for KYC then there will be less airdrop participants that can participate and also the number of people that will be added to the ICO community will be lessen.

I am not talking about all airdrops asking for kyc but some are asking because actually, their ico is a scam but they can use lots of identities. So i wouldn't for an airdrop. It can offer 1-2$ or it can offer 100-200$ for 10.000 people. First one is not worth my time and identity, second one is not realistic unless some big things are there.

I'm not the one who doesn't really want to send the ID to the market services, some quality projects and bounty campaigns of high-quality projects, but it was really interesting to have my identity presented and requested for airdrop. I recommend that you do not share such information, especially with small projects, projects where your team is unreliable, and the garbage projects you fill out in order to accumulate just token. Usually, such projects do not provide both profit and sells the identity information they obtain from black market. Therefore, I think it is useful not to participate in projects that require KYC.

I decline to do KYC even if the project is very good or giving me a good amount of token, I have done research about this private data breach and how KYC can ruin you and I come  to a conclusion that it's not worth for any amount of money, if you want to do KYC then do a research first and you will find out the truth.

There is nothing that can make me to participate in airdrops asking for KYC even I saw on the web that energi airdrop cost 100$ for the airdrop and to go through KYC processing ,KYC implementation for airdrops is not making any sense, even I don't join bounties with KYC implementation and we know that bounty rewards are higher

I have a couple of points here. First, airdrops are getting useless. There is no more attractive, much less convincing, reason why we should be wasting our time and effort participating airdrops. Airdrops are becoming a way for the shittest of coins to somehow get something in return. This is not the past anymore when airdrops are really worth it. Second, KYC processes are not attractive either, especially here in the crypto space. How much more would it be if applied to these worthless airdrops?

actually I also feel uncomfortable giving my data but as participants we must comply with all the terms and conditions imposed by the project team so that we can get what we want from the project, so I want to do it but not all projects, only for good projects and having coins that have high potential because my personal data is important so I also have to get important coins too

There is indeed many airdrop that asking for KYC for us to be eligible to get the coins/token reward.
But if it's me, I prefer to avoid that kind of airdrop, because compared to the tokens we get and the data we provide, i think that is a bit too much for us to provide the KYC for that small reward.

For me personally it doesn't matter if you have to give KYC to an ico project or airdrop program if the ico or airdrop project really has a price when it is sold and has an exchange place, if the ico project has no exchange place or the price is cheap, then I myself reluctant to give the KYC.

I really don't have anything to say here because many have problems with it comes to kyc verification. But if the airdrop or project isworth the kyc, maybe you should don't if not, there is no need stressing yourself on that.

You better stay clear of Airdrops demanding for KYC afterall the value of the coin may not worth all the information that had already been submitted.
There are serious concern about some scrupulous individuals fraudulently selling other people's identity probably that had been falsefully obtained from all these Airdroping campaigns without the full knowledge of the owner.
I strongly kicked against all those submitting their identities in the name of KYC or other projects requesting for personal identities.

there is no harm in giving KYC for every airdrops tokens we will receive, I believe that they will not abuse my personal identity for something that is not good.
they only use it as their project community data.

Just skip 'airdrops' who want your info, usually it's a way to small price to sell your dox.

There are plenty of better and safer opportunities out there.

Its just airdrop, don't participate on it. You are not even sure whether the tokens have a value in the end. Don't sweat.

I would understand they ask for KYC if the project is legit and backed by known projects already but if not, just stick your nose to something worth your time. There will always be another opportunity for you.

Nah, there's so much we can do about the situation if bounty hunters/airdropper choose not to participate in the project that ask them for KYC because there's no point for hunters/airdropper to go through KYC since they are not investors.

Most of these projects claim they are under a legal jurisdiction where KYC is very important for many business projects. The new trend is increasingly becoming worrisome as many airdrops are even requiring KYC verification from participants.
Either they are under a legal jurisdiction or not is not important buddy because all their claim are just a lame excuse because KYC actually mean "Know Your Customer" not Know Your Advertiser.

yes I am also very worried because with the presence of Kyc, our data can be misused, but I am also worried that if there are not many cheats, there are cheaters who use the weak verification system of an airdrop, for example creating multiple accounts

Like Polymath and Eximchain will not happen again with big rewards, most Airdrop now is not valuable, but we really need it, it's not natural with what you give identity to others.
