Lately I do not really trust these airdrops, because some of them are SCAMs, and the others will not cost anything. I refused to participate in airdrops, unless it looks good. I do not inspire my safety, give me my personal documents to people who are going to fool me. Personal documents must remain personal. I would agree with KYC for airdrop participants only if there was a KYC for team members of a project.

I'll never join Airdrop because I only waste more time if airdrop asks for KYC so in my opinion it is very clear fraud, essentially I'll not give my personal documents for $ 10

I will not do KYC on an airdrop project unless the project is good and provides enough funds, I only do airdrop on the blockchain site that I use to save funds, so they have KYC events to get XLM funds and indeed I use the site as my wallet

KYC for airdrop is better avoided, it has been proven that airdrop is only worth $ 1 to $ 2 which will be obtained, I have tried to follow 50 airdrop and the result is that they only pay $ 0.9 on average, really annoying

The issue of kyc this days is getting out of hand, the only advice I have for those that can't disclose there information should stop participating in such project that requires kyc and look for project that don't requires kyc.

I want to say according to my experience that everybody should avoid kyc for any airdrop coin. Because the maximum number of Airdrop is now fake and they are collecting peoples personal info. But you can do kyc some airdrop which is already popular coin and they are passing their couple of years through their project development . because some project are launching their main net and asking for kyc. such as some days ago I have seen quarkchian coin. so you can do these kyc without any hesitation.

It's a precaution for the team. This is the result of having unfriendly and unclear ICO regulations in different states. They do not want some government chasing them in the future so ICOs would rather require KYC.

I think it's a serious matter.no one can't to easily ready to disclose their secrecy .my views if a project having good popularity in the market then have no matter. but ultimately it's own decisions of the investors.

You should be careful on submitting your personal information. Just imagine giving you a penny to have your information and then what? What would they do to your information ? Do you think that it is worth the risk?

Finally arrived to this point.. First, some project started to ask our KYC procedure for buying coins from the ICO's. Later the exchanges started to ask for KYC. Later bounty hunter had to send the KYC for their bounty rewards and now the airdrops.. I am sure that some of the bad projects would sell our infos for money..

I personally have experienced airdrop using KYC and I skip from the airdrop it and choose another airdrop without KYC because in my opinion the gift from Airdrop is not necessarily profit

Risking your identity for some pennies, not worth it. KYC is actually against the whole theory of cryptocurrency. They kill anonymity and make the transaction procedure lengthier and difficult.

Who else here join and complete a KYC in blockchain.com for the $25 Stellar Giveaway?
And these $25 can come a long way in some countries that willing to sell their identity for $25 USD.
blockchain.com is a legit business entity but still it carries some possible risk of hacking and leaking out millions of ID's and Passports.

The issue of KYC always raises questions whose answers are mostly not very discerning to the ears. It is quite unfortunate, I know most crypto enthusiasts are not comfortable giving out their personal information for KYC but there is little we can do about the situation at the moment. Most of these projects claim they are under a legal jurisdiction where KYC is very important for many business projects. The new trend is increasingly becoming worrisome as many airdrops are even requiring KYC verification from participants.
In my opinion, it is not necessary for Airdrop because this is really meaningless. Besides your personal information may be affected by other things later. Because Airdrop is too much and very dangerous now. Dangerous scammers can get personal information from you.

I have learnt to always create a special email for airdrops that if they want to hack it, they can go ahead and do so because we have to be careful not to give them email that contains our sensitive information, has they could also use this means to steal funds from us. I do join some because we might never know which one the manner is sent from heaven;I just don’t release my information.

Airdrops with kyc is total busllshit, gone are days when airdrop makes sense with good reward, but these days, you do an airdrop and get a reward less than a $$ and yet will be asked to do kyc.. Sincerely I stopped doing airdrop let alone it's kyc.. And am yet to consider same with bounty... And just focus on trading and investing.. These are worth my kyc, definitely not airdrops.

I do not recommend you give your identity only to airdrop which is worth 1-10 $. and sometimes they are not valuable at all. maybe you can make exceptions to good projects and make KYC just to avoid cheaters. the rest do not provide information on any airdrop.

This is the point where people have to be very carefully in dashing out their information when it comes to airdrops too requesting for KYC, other investment companies and exchanges requesting for KYC is still understandable and like you said, they are still companies too despite the fact they decided to operate in ICO doesn’t mean they are not registered company and they are just being careful enough not to soil their hand with funds that will give them issue in future especially funds tied to criminal activities but for airdrop, since it doesn’t require investment of any deposit, I see no reason why they should ask for it. I learnt many scam airdrops are the ones doing this.
