I sometimes go through kyc for bounty campaigns but KYC for airdrop is a "NO". Most airdrops are now worthless, most of the times you get 1USD which can't amount to transaction cost on an exchange. KYC for airdrop is very ridiculous.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It is actually becoming a norm now for many airdrops to be making request for KYC.This was not really the trend before but it all started recently. In my own opinion, I think one of the reasons why many airdrops are making request for KYC is to curb the rate at which people use multiple accounts in claiming tokens. The idea was to reduce the rate at which too many accounts are being used to register. There is nothing wrong in providing one's KYC details in as much as one is sure that the airdrop is not a scam. Once the airdrop is not a scam, after providing one's KYC details, one can be sure of receiving the token reward.

I agree , kyc for airdrop is a bad action and you most likely give your documents to scammers , I think it's better not to do them at all

If they say that they are under legal jurisdiction where  KYC is mandatory for business purpose, then tell them to prove it. If they are able to provide proper prove, then there is nothing you can do. If they fail or some what hesitates to do so, you can call them out for being potential scammer. Another reason they might require users to submit KYC form is to prevent users from abusing the bounty programs.
The best thing to do is avoid such programs. Scam project might give you tokens worth $5, but might end up selling your information for as high as $50

The issue of KYC always raises questions whose answers are mostly not very discerning to the ears. It is quite unfortunate, I know most crypto enthusiasts are not comfortable giving out their personal information for KYC but there is little we can do about the situation at the moment.  Most of these projects claim they are under a legal jurisdiction where KYC is very important for many business projects. The new trend is increasingly becoming worrisome as many airdrops are even requiring KYC verification from participants.
I just see it as a strategy in order to get the details of the users because we are not so sure that this airdrop is actually going to worth anything, so why would we waste our time uploading documents to a company that we don't know who are behind it and we might never know who is behind it. Let's be very careful when giving out our details in any blockchain platforms because most of them are scammers and doesn't mean well.

It's just becoming the trend these days and I still wonder the reason for the KYC. It's just like entering a shop to buy wears and the shop owner asks for my ID. Seriously, the issue is getting out of hand.

Man, there is no need to doing airdrop that asking for KYC to be eligible.
How much is the airdrop reward ? I don't think it will be worth to give your identity documents.
It will be better if you take a part of bounty campaign than airdrop campaign, but you need more efforts.

Why do you have to risk your identity for such a penny? There's no need for kyc in airdrop. An airdrop is not a worth of your personal info. Your identity is not secure even in a bounty campaign, how much more in airdrop.

It's just Airdrops, we don't know what the fate will be. It's better not to sacrifice your privacy just because of that, which doesn't promise more profit.

Nowadays, KYC has been popular in order to claim the rewards and get it into our wallet. However, it may be not as worthy because sometimes, airdrops commonly offer a small number of rewards. We also still don't know whether the tokens or coins are also profitable or not.
This condition leads many people not to fulfill the KYC process for airdrop. It is about trust and rewards. It is too risky to give our ID for KYC verification.

I still agree that investors are passing kyc. At least they know why they are doing this. But I believe that for airdrops and bounty campaigns there is no point in doing this, at least until there is stability and confidence that our data will not be stolen.

These are sugar-coated words just to entice to go through the KYC, I have seen this to many airdrops that are not existing anymore, so if you are newbie check and do a research if what are you doing is worth it, a $10 worth of token can be gone in an hour but not the personal information you gave to scammers.

lots of airdrop ask for KYC verification to get prize but all return to their respective rights, I personally will do KYC if the airdrop is said to definitely pay

It may be regrettable that the Airdrop project requires KYC verification. Maybe many people don't like it because the results are very few and also have a big risk. For me, KYC is not a problem, if it is really needed and as long as the project I follow has good potential. For me, it is not a problem to pass KYC verification.

I refuse to believe they are under any jurisdiction, some of them collect innocent people information just to sell it out in return for cash, they are toiling with the identity of naive participants given their identity for penniless airdrop.

Kyc for an airdrop is so ridiculous why someone/the team need to know which people participated on their airdrop program. Thats totally useless, i understand if it for token sales investor but airdrop and bounty is not a good thing. They are just advertising so no need to see deeper information. And hunters you should not part of this kyc program, dont risk your identity in a bunch of token and not know if this project is real existing

If the project is potential and can increase its price in the future, I will implement KYC, I have participated in many projects and KYC but its price is very bad, for me it depends on each project . KYC doesn't affect me very much, it just takes my time Smiley

Never believe in any Airdrop which are seeking KYC by which they collect your personal data. Still, now I have not got a single reward of joining the Airdrop since the last two years. But, I lost my token/coin worth of $10,000 last year.

In as much as we understand the importance of KYC in order to reduce the risk of fraud and streamline the problems associated with multiple accounts. But I strongly feel in my humble view that KYC should be restricted to investors and not airdrop participants. Airdrops are just like freebies. KYC stands for Know Your Customer. Now except am wrong a customer patronizes a product or service by paying money in exchange. But in the case of freebies, there's it can extend to virtually customers and none customers alike. Hence my suggestion for KYC to be restricted to investors of projects.

Doing KYC for me is not a problem. Most important before doing KYC, we must ensure that they can be trusted about the security of my ID. And if the results are very good, I will definitely do KYC, but if the results are very small, it is better to look for other projects.
