It depends on how you want to invest mate. Some investors prefer to go for the already listed altcoins on the market. Others prefer the upcoming ones by joining the ICO. However, one key factor which is necessary in these two avenues is the ability for the investor to research into the project and coins. This is when the investor will know the authenticity of the project or the capabilities of the coin to rise if it is already listed.

One thing i always use is that the availability in the CMC site page, there are lots of goods tokens or coins listed their, i mean try to scan on it, you will see which coins is mostly traded from there you can finalize which coins you gonna invest.
