If any of you are following ProgPoW is going to be the new PoW algo for Ethereum. I did a full suite of benchmarks with AMD and Nvidia GPUs to see how it would perform and a break-down analysis!

I didnt bother to read the article.  I just saw the GPU laying on the side of your case and exited.  You should update that test bench though.  Using the GPU's to render desktop is going to skew the results.

Looking at amd gpus on progpow i must say that amd gpus will be done for, nowadays you mine ethash 30mhs and use only 135 watts, eth progpow at 135 watts will never give as much return as ethash gives, plus nvidia will dominate eth progpow, It will be a blow in the heart of whoever owns amd gpus and use to mine eth. Progpow is a stepback back concerning amd gpus, a step right concerning asics and nvidia gpus.

If you have amd gpus will only be good at the beginning cause asics will be dead but soon after that you will not mine eth anymore, you will have to mine something else cause nvidia gpus will dominate it.

I don't understand (sorry i'm french) but at the moment amd (radeon vii) do better on progpow than any nvidia no?

Care to Elaborate?  "laying on the side of case" Do you mean the GPUs that was used for the photoshot? or the testing. Having them laying as they were doesn't affect performance. Also "GPU render desktop is going to skew results" is incorrect. Desktop uses minimal resources, if any, that means it wouldn't affect mining performance in Windows.

Vega 56/64 and Vega VII will perform very well in ProgPoW due to being Higher end GPUs. What people are seeming to miss is that ProgPoW is like a game, the Higher end your GPU the better the performance. Unlike Ethhash which, unfairly, gave AMD's excellent advantage.

Imagine if a popular nvidia gpu coin had to change its algo and it would be unfairly as you said on amd, that is how is happening right now. eth mining since it started was always better on amd, is unfairly to be on nvidia's favor now.
