To answer your question, we need to know the name of the coin first. Is this an ERC20 token?

Does the altcoin have their own dedicated telegram channel for support? That could be the fastest way to get the support you need. Just explain to their admins over Telegram what problems you are experiencing. Or discord if they don't have telegram.

OP isn't actually seeking help about their problem here, they just want to know the best place to post for help.

You can look around a few places to see the best fit.

You might be okay trying in Beginners and Help if your unfamiliar with what you are doing, maybe it's something simple.

Also there is Altcoin Discussion, maybe you can find something similar. This can be a hard board to get a good response on because there is a lot of "noise".

Depending on the exchange maybe try checking for a service discussion thread or something like that. There should also be an [ANN] thread for your coin maybe they can help

I have some BTX (Bitcore) for long time but actually now that coin is going very declining so I just want to convert into some other crypto,BTX is not listed on many exchange so need to stick with Bit-Z which is the only exchange looks legit for now,I have my BTX in segiwit wallet when I tried to send my BTX to legacy BTX address on Bit-Z exchange the electrum wallet says invalid address so what I have to do now.

They are right that the best place for that might be on the altcoin discussion. If you don't want that question of yours not to get buried out on spam then I guess if I am not mistaken you can make it self moderated so you can filter out some of the post that you actually don't need or is not contributing to your question


Edit: Still the best advice is to have a research there might be someone in the forum who already have been posted the same problem and were able to solved it.

Begginers and help will do about your concern. It is advisable that all things you want to know and asking questions is ideal in beginers and help section. Other than that there are other sections also that could be used to post this kind of concern.

Just like other users I came to visit other section like here in the meta because there are new things needed to be learn. There are important inputs here being discussed and posted by higher ranks to which we could get learnings from it.

Since you already mention your issue above I would like to suggest a solution to fix your issue.

Since your problem is when sending your BTX coin from Electrum segwit to Bit-z legacy address you are getting an invalid address which I think there is incompatibility issue on Electrum part.

Let me know if what is your BTX Electrum version?  There is a 2 BTX electrum version the one is using the wrong BIP32 derivation path and another one is fix including the other error that you will get from old version of Electrum.

Code:

Now using the correct BIP32 derivation path.

So you might be using an Electrum wallet which is old so check this version 3.2.3-btx with BIP32_PRIME fix

Take note make sure that you already have backup seeds or private keys of your wallet before you upgrade it.

I think you can also make a new wallet from Electrum and make a legacy address and transfer your BTX from segwit wallet to legacy.

*Another possible solution try to install a coinomi wallet in your android device and add bitcore coin and send your BTX from segwit wallet to Coinomi wallet.

Exrate exchange is one of my favorite site of shitcoin and I haven't experienced any issue yet.
