I guess that at that time, his lucky is working great to him so he can win big money. I think no matter how good our strategy if we don't have luck, we will never win any money. luck is not a strategy but its a random trait that a person may posses  . strategies like martingale does not also guarantee to work all the time but it should work some time and can give you some profits better than by not using a strategy at all .  i was using martingale on the past and i can say that i can make more profit compare to before than i only playing randomly  but i agree that luck is still needed so that we can increase the chance of winning  .
