Blackminer F1mini is a new single-chip FPGA miner that inherits the characteristics of Blackminer F series miner.  It's more powerfrugal and completely silent, which is the first choice for FPGA Altcoin newbies.

This is a pre-sale, the first batch is only 300 units.
here is the entrance:https://www.hashaltcoin.com/en/batches/14

There is PCI-E and DC interfaces. ATX power supply, DC 12V 6A or 12V 8A power supply are suitable to use.  The hole position is reserved according to the CPU heat sink, and some Intel CPU LGA115X series radiators can be used. No heat sink and no power supply are included in order to reduce shipping cost.

It's power less than 50w(Similar to a laptop),The silent CPU heat sink make people ignore the exist of it.

F1 mini supports the same algorithms as F1/F1+, which has not only high flexibility and very good stability and better performance.

I always wanted to see that kind of FPGA miner with big, proper heatsink and low noise fan - is it finally here?

It looks like if you got a slim enough heatsink setup... you could screw together a little tower of them, all connected together with those littel M3 hex rods

https://www.hashaltcoin.com/en/batches/14

...but then you're just building the stretch-limo version of an F1-Single Smiley

hmm, this is cute actually, i could picture alot of little projects with these
could be good way to get some friends into flexible low $ entry alt mining too
180$usd, seems reasonable
good luck on sales!
personally i think mining tech is moving really fast right now, so im letting things shake out for a few more months b4 i expand anymore myself haha #noballs

You are right, so How important it is to have an entry-level miner that can be upgraded online any time

Pretty interesting.  Have you ever considered just allowing someone to provide their own Beagleboard to make it ever cheaper and less complicated?

This is the best choice for home/office mining.
in order to meet the majority needs of our users, the group purchase price of F1mini is coming: $169 ( ≥5 units for one order)
F1mini supports the same algorithms as F1/F1+, and the power consumption is about 50W(similar to a laptop). Performance is 1/18 of F1+. It's completely quiet.

Pre-sale start prosperously by this entrance:https://www.hashaltcoin.com/en/miners
BTW: today's calculator is crazy! It's going on rising, we don't know what happened!  By the latest revenue, the ROI of F1mini would be shorten to less than 96 days!

Hi, is this simple CPU Cooler Fan 90mm PWM 4pin CPU Fan with Heatsink suitable for use with F1Mini? Is possible to use 3 pin Fan instead of 4 pin PWM fan?

It is also interesting to know the official answer to this question. Seems to me cooling will not be enough for such work.

4pin GPU fun is recommended. If you want to use 3pin one, customize fan speed should be set to 0%  on the configuration page, then it should also be able to run

As a complete newbie who's looking to start altcoin mining...

Reading this thread has me interested, because the replies state "Great for a newbie"  Grin

What would I need to set this up and start mining?

Would a rasberryPi do the trick? Or do I need a computer set up to configure everything?

It's unbelievable for a hero member said he's newbie, LOL
You can join the discord find the user manual.
It's really convenient, you needn't run any software, it almost start work at the meantime of power-on.
