What will happen with etc when eth goes POS ?

Hi, do you thing it will happen something with ETC when eth will go POS and stop mining?
I think all the eth miners will turn tvey farma to etc mining, and maybe moon it. ??

When ETH goes entirely to POS, it will be the end of ETH, or at least they will face many problems. POS consensus mechanism is not as reliable as POW. But I would like that to happen so that we can finally see how POS works in a practical environment which is competitive enough to pose challenges to the algo. The weaknesses of POS will be come visible very soon after the shift. As for the miners, the miners will switch to another coin, or several coins which they think are the most profitable. ETC may be among those coins.

As far as I know, the ETC is not the ETH's official fork, and each has separate teams. And when we think like that, they do not need to continue from the same way. I am not knowledgeable about mining a lot, just tried to use logic.

We don't know what will be the response of ETH miners if ever ETH goes on PoS soon. They may mine other valuable altcoins and ETC can be one of it but I don't have an idea on what will happen to ETC if ETH will go on PoS. Correct me if I'm wrong, these both were already separated and they don't mind each other anymore. Everyone wants to see ETH on PoS and it's going to be a big advantage for those big holders but as said, PoW is more secure than PoS.

IMHO main eth problem is a great centralization and that fact that they are losing popularity very fast. And IMHO there is no big difference for both coins POS or not. IMHO only way to grow for both of them is new ICO's on their platforms.

I would like to see this scenario actually. Personally,,, I am not sure how much we can trust POS but to be fair we have not seen it being in full implementation with a big platform with lots of transactions so perhaps let us give ETH a chance. It does seem to be doing well so far. If they switch to ETC it will be a strange case. Will ETC run into the same problems as ETH afterwards?

You really need to go back to basics and learn about ETC and ETH. You got it completely wrong.

Eth is a fork of etc mate.. etc is the original chain.

ETC is too far behind despite being the original ethereum. I don't see them producing anything new that eos, cardano, or lisk can produce. Only good thing is that they are in coinbase which is a huge help

ETC has a chance gets more miners and that will increase the difficulty of ETC itself. Not all but only some miners because ethereum will not fully change its consensus to the POS system.
The miners still able to get ethereum from mining consider ethereum will use a hybrid system.

I had ETC on past but i sell it long time ago, is ETC used like ETH was for create tokens on his blockchain? Maybe if more people will use it, will grow, but who know if will be one of the good coins for long investment.

when ETH will go to POS then the big holders will be getting the main profit as they are having the high volume holded and it can be used for POS and earn it freely without mining which will cut the cost of expense so in the start the price of ETH will go down and then it will go up. Same i dont think their will be any effect on ETC as miners will turn to holders to earn from POS

I can't tell what will really happen when ethereum goes fully POS because POS is still under test and we might experience some problem in the future, though it might not be the case, all we can do now is hope for the best of what is to come not only in eth but in crypto as a whole and we should expect to see a great change in the crypto community that will solve a lot of problem that we are currently facing in the crypto community.

After Constantinople Delay because of vulnerability found by the auditing firm not sure about next implementation . Even it is in Ethereum's 2019 road map . I think ethereum going to implement Casper ( Pure POS) o Serenity  . Still lots of days to come how it will work we have to wait and watch till that ethereum mining rewards are one of the profitable coins in crypto space .

It will all depend of what will happen after POS. If everything works great, etc could win some value, but not very much. But if there is some major problem that makes Eth looks bad, we will probably see ETC going to sky.

There is not many platform projects that works with Pow. EOS, Tron, Cardano ADA, Neo. They are all PoS. And none are real decentralized project. Eth and ADA will compete to see who will be the first. And ETC could be rewarded if they fail.

yes that's right. a lot of ico from eth platforms is a scam so eth prices are stuck. the dev when selling ico eth was immediately sold and he left the project.

it is definitely possible since it is so easy to switch to the original project (ETC) instead of the fork and continue mining that but also since miners are doing it with GPU and GPU can be used for mining most other altcoins their options are so many so they don't have to do that.

but regardless of that we may see a pump in ETC the day ETH starts switching to PoS and kill the miners.
what i am mostly interested in is to see how the centralized ethereum and the foundation is going to react to that pump. are they going to start panicking again and start dumping ETC to prevent its rise again?
