I have few things that I'd like to see implemented:

-When browsing through someones posts I'd like a button at the top/bottom which takes me back to the users profile without having to backspace.

-When browsing through someones posts I'd like it if there was a sorting feature so that I could select a specific board and see all the posts the user has made on that board.

-When browsing through someones posts I'd like it if I could get more than 20 posts per page, perhaps in increments of 10 up towards 50 or 100 (either works for me).

-When browsing through someones posts it would be nice if there were two different shades of grey to make it a bit easier on the eye if you count/read a lot of them for example. Just so that every other post is slightly darker than the previous one.

More to be added as I go.

@theymos, if this is not possible or if things like these are planned for the new forum, please disregard this. However, if you could make these changes (I've no idea how time consuming it would be), I'd really appreciate it.

All of the above suggested features are pretty interesting and help full, especially for a campaign manager as he/she have to go through a hell lot of posts for campaign judgements.

I see you are annoyed with not able to check the post history of high number of participants in an users friendly way for your campaign and it consumes too much of an time.

But the thing is, there is already a long list of to-do thing's theymos has here and we don't know when would the above mentioned features pop up on the current forum software. Yes some of the features are sure to pop up in the new forum software epochtalk.

Features you suggest which are already implemented in the epochtalk:

- You could easily check the user profile info without using backspace while going through his post history.

- There are two different shades while browsing through post history and yes its a shade of gray.

Features not implemented yet:

There is no post sorting features yet and also nothing related to posts per page adjustment in new forum software.

I think a better option would be awaiting for the new software to take its place and you could just post your suggestions in here to be implemented on the epochtalk.

From what I can understand from your request list they're mainly related to issue that'll make signature managing less time consuming and easier, benefiting mostly signature mangers and not the forum in general so don't think theymos will have much interest in implementing them as he doesn't have much interest in signature and of recent disactivated  animated avatar. anyway good luck with you request. I'll love to see some of them implemented.

I have much interest in seeing this one implemented;

Aa it'll not only benefit signature mangers but might benefit spam hunters too as in regards to searching through specific boards for abusers

-When browsing through someones posts I'd like a button at the top/bottom which takes me back to the users profile without having to backspace.
You can change the URL in your browser by removing "sa=showPosts;start=20" and you will get back to the person's profile.

It would be nice to see additional information about a profile on the post history page.

-When browsing through someones posts I'd like it if there was a sorting feature so that I could select a specific board and see all the posts the user has made on that board.
You can go to IgnoreBoards, check all the boards you don't want to see posts in, and click 'change profile' at the bottom, then visit the person's post history. Those boards will be entirely unavailable to you until you unignore the boards you selected.

This is currently setup in a way that is difficult to select/deselect many boards at once. Perhaps it would be helpful if there was a 'select/deselect all' button, or a way to select/deselect all child boards of a parent board that someone wants to ignore.

All of these features are likely to help campaign managers weed out poor posters (by making it easier to review their post history), which ultimately will benefit the forum.

I use my account LoyceBot in a different browser for convenience for counting campaign posts. If you have different campaigns with different requirements, you could just make a few more accounts so you don't have to adjust the list of ignored boards per campaign every week. A private browsing window and Captcha bypass code can help.

I second you on this . If it is not possible for someone else profile that at least give this option on our own profiles. In current system it is very cumbersome / time consuming to search something in your post history, specially when your post count already crossed 1000.

Alternatively, with Firefox (I'm not sure about other browsers as I don't use them) you can create multiple profiles. Each profile can have its own set of cookies, bookmarks, etc. Therefore if you stay logged in forever, you can simply log in to each account you need to use in a separate Firefox profile once, and then just open the profile you need each time. Additionally, you can install Firefox twice (or even just copy and paste the entire Firefox folder) to be able to run two instances of Firefox in different profiles at the same time.

Indeed these are some selfish requests that would make my life easier, not really sure if the forum as a whole would benefit it but at the same time I don't think it would be detrimental either. I'd be very happy if we only got the sort per board feature Smiley

That's true, but I'd probably still prefer a button, hah. Or just if the total post count could be displayed on post history page along with name, would work.

Had not thought about ignoring boards, but then again there are times when I only want to see one specific board so if that would mean me ignoring all other ones it would be quite annoying (although nobody is active in all of them).

I do also think it would be easier to spot a shitposter that is hiding it well.

I can barely keep up with one account so making several ones would not be for me Cheesy. I see the benefit and the usecase for it though so will have to ponder a bit..

If you have a bot counting posts, you might as well program the bot to exclude posts in certain sections (or only include posts in certain sections). Someone could also create a script to efficiently change the ignore list.

You probably could get the desired outcome if you only ignored the most popular boards as you are unlikely to see any posts in ‘new forum software’ regardless of if you ignore it or not.

Much easier if he just opened the link on a new tab. Even without a button  or editing the URL, he can turn back easily on the user's profile page.

Since we don't have that you can always use the browsers search option. I am sure you know that but lets say you want to check only posts on Meta - hit CTRL + F to open the search tab and enter Meta in it. All the words on the page containing Meta will then be highlighted. But you still have to browse through all the pages manually.
