Honestly, it might continue this way till ICO investment becomes zero and disappear into the thin air

ico investors may decreased but i dont think will end up to zero . ico are also aware that there are now ieo's  . they might feel threatend and that will result for them to improve thier service .

It is not surprising to know about as everything linked with crypto was dominated by bears in the last one year each coin was down multiple folds, overall market volume crashed massively so it was natural that investments in icos will decrease too, now with markets improving i think it is not long that we will again see hype in all related niches of crypto including icos.

the market had already recovered and improved but i see that most ico's are still the same as last year . the decline of demand for ico is not caused by the bears anymore but its caused by bad reputation of ico caused by scammers and bad/failed projects  .

I believe that the biggest problem in ICO is the presence of a large number of scammers. Because people stopped investing in them.

I will be waiting for coingecko Q1 ico review to know the extent of the damage. It is more detailed and give a breakdown of the ICO/IEO/IAO in the past 3 months across all countries and form of investment. Im not wondering why it happen and for me not just the market condition is the main reason, why ICO investment funding are decreasing Its because of the scams that wreaking havoc on ICO market, the trust and confidence from the potential investors has gone already and the damage has already huge to repair. unless it will be regulated by all governments around the world.

It has some sense.. people dont like to risk their funds anymore.. why should i invest in an ICO? there have been not just scam exits, but also phishings and so on.. it is safer to conduct fund raising through an exchange, so IEO is for me the way to go nowadays..
Now i plan to put some money on @Beatzcoin.. the presale was sold out, and people is trying to buy in the black market (trading rooms), which i strongly discourage.. Caveas emptor!

It means the market has enough of coins. On the other hand, people are showing not much interests in ICOs. But I do not think people will not support a project launched for a good cause. Many ICOs with genuine and good causes have been raising more than enough funds from ICOs. I too gave up on ICO on the 31st march, when a coin named eo I have been waiting for the past 1 year began to trade below ICO price, this is not fair and investors are tired of losing a lot of money having waited for years just for a coin to be listed on the exchange, investors are now moving from ICO investment to IEO investment.

I think there are no assurance when it comes to investment. What's unfair there? Is there a provision that ICO wouldnt lose? Only gain? I think you are quitting by disappointment alone not by ICO wouldnt stand a chance. There are still some ICO gaining, its just a matter of investing and choosing the right product.

Maybe the main cause of what happen in ICO investment is the security issue. With all the scam ICO that doesn't seem to be stopping making many investors hesitate to make an investment because they got worried if they got scammed.

Yes, mainly the security issue which is why many investors are now migrating to IEO and STO projects, especially that of IEO from Binance. I do really hope that ICO survives because of we bounty hunters but there is nothing we can do if it doesn’t because of these scammers that will continue to use ICO to defraud investors.

Now that we have exchanges who are directly conducting these projects after properly verifying the source of the project and also the credibility of the project, many of us investors will strictly see it as the only option to a genuine investment in the mean time because I cannot still vouch for the future of IEO yet as regards scammers, time will let us know.

Everything in the world will change through progress, development and innovation. Its not sad to see ico decresse in percent because we got new way of invesrment. but indeed the fact that ico investment can provide huge profits to investors. unfortunately for now ico is too much bad. I once invested in the dent project, and I lost the moment when I first registered at the exchange. and I decided to hold it longer until it became useless as possible. but I was surprised after almost a year the price of the assets I had turned out to have a very remarkable increase.

Retail investment has declined due to obvious reasons such as scams and ponzi schemes, over hyped products and services, lack of protection for investors, and regulatory uncertainty for startups, but this is beginning to change with the arrival of IEOs and STOs which should help improve the quality of what is on offer and it will be interesting to see if these newer crowd funding solutions become successful and help revive the crowd funding market place

I see this happening because many investors experience losses in investing in the ICO, this causes a decline in investment, then the biggest problem is the number of ICO scams that make investors afraid to spend their funds.
