I admited that when I was noob, I often applied immediately when I saw bounties open up.
Before reading next lines, you should honest with you and answer the question:
"How much time do you often spend to read bounties' topic tittle?"
Read first, before applying, but in fact bounty hunters tend to applying first, before they read.

It's one of the worst thing you can do due to several reasons:
- Bounties have been filled up totally, mean that there is not open slot for new comers.
- Bounties have been paused by campaigns' owners.
- And other reasons.

In order to help noobs better understand the tittle of bounty topic, I quote the part below for you.
Please read it carefully to make sure that you understand the meanings of those acronyms.

Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns

The following abbreviations will be used for campaigns (where applicable):

Campaigns:
Active||Currently active
PNYC||Payment not yet confirmed
FLUX||Campaign in flux between closed and accepting
CFNP||Closed for new participants
Sometimes, you can see something different, like:
- Paused
- On Hold
- [FIN]: Finished

Both of two means campaign has been on the situation and period in which campaign's owners need to reconsider about the results they got from campaigns, before making next decision to keep running it or totally stop.
Using which acronym depends on each manager, but these ones are the most popular acronym to describe bounties situation.

Please spend your little time to read those ones, steps by steps:

1>  Topic tittle, that mostly disclose the current situation of bounties (mentioned above).
2>  Read the information on which ranks are available.
3> Read the information on open slots.
4> Read information on earned merits required (most of BTC paid campaigns ask some earned merits or earned merits in last 120 days to meet first requirements to apply.)
5> Trust requirements (most of campaign don't accept applicants have negative trusts.

If you find out there are chances for you from steps 1 to 3, let move to last 2 steps (4, and 5).
If you don't find out chances in steps 1 to 3, let skip steps 4, and 5, and move on to other bounties.

There is a topic, which give you active campaigns that paid in BTC, remember that the topic is only for BTC-paid campaigns.
So, you should not post anything relates to altcoins-paid campaigns in the topic.

The reason for this is the bounty hunters' belief that campaign managers are selecting new members based on their orders. For example, if 10 members are offered and two members are required, the first two members will have the advantage.

Maybe some campaign managers are doing that but believe me, reading rules will take a minute and will improve your chances.

Also, you must verify that the payment amount is a safety or that the campaign manager/escrow is trusted.

Good campaigns managed by good managers are usually not a first come first serve campaign.
So, such lazy bounty hunters do non-sense applications.
They act fast with their applications, but managers might just glance at those applications in mili seconds, and nothing more.

I would add that many users don't even read what the project is about before they agree to advertise it. There have been a number of fake signature campaigns in the past where they are advertising a known scam, or where the campaign manager is a brand new account and there was no escrow or proof of funds. Despite this, as soon as you promise any amount of money (even trash altcoins/tokens which are worth fractions of a cent), people will jump at the chance to sign up. If you continue to advertise for a known scam after being warned, you could very well end up with red trust.

In fact, it's best to read the who title place the content of the thread before applying.
Sometimes bounty managers make  updates with in the thread maybe about the payments or about the number of slots available

One more tip: do not enroll your alt accounts (if you have one). You will have risk being blacklisted by campaign managers. From what I see, having alt accounts also degrade your post quality a lot, not about word counts and other non-essential stuff, but about the actual discussion that you bring to the table.

Why title have "newbies", I see many established account  applying without reading the OP. Applying on already CFNP threads. Interestingly these kind of apply do not achieve anything but still people try.

It's the fact, we all known that during our time hunting for bounties.
So, let's accept it.
Firstly, when I thought for which tittle of the topic, I did not include newbies because as you pointed out, all ranks of users made such lazy applications.
After that, I thought newbies or lower rank users dominantly do it, so I decided to add newbies to the titlle.
It's hilarious to see newbies applied to join high paid campaigns, especially in bitcoin.
By writing Newbies, I implied that lower rank users. Using Newbies might better catch their attention.  Smiley

LoyceV made a great point, but among newbies or even higher members, there are guys will read my guide, and see it helpful for them.
Maybe, I actually made un-necessary topic.  Huh
I'm not adding this. You want Newbie bounty spammers who don't read to read my topic, which tells them to read your topic, all because they don't read the topic they actually wanto to spam a bounty topic. That's a lot of reading they won't do.

It mentioned in OP's campaigns, so they should read it themselves; and I did not added  to the OP because it is not my main purpose to write the topic.
Anyway, thanks for your contructive point.
One more tip: do not enroll your alt accounts (if you have one).

Title always don't give an appropriate result about what's going on. I had applied in bustadice campaign where title says "Full" but there was two vacancy announced by the campaign manager.

Oh my friend, it is totally depend on campaign managers, but they usually update current situation of campaigns they managed with tittle updates.
Sometimes, they forgot to do that, it's the fact because they are human.
You should get the point that, what I wanted to point out is bounty hunters should spend their little time to read OP before applying no matter how lazy you are.
If they read OP tittle, that wrote Full/ CFNP, but if they read OP carefully and have interest in that campaign, thay can move reading last pages of the campaign to see what's going on recent days or weeks.
Reading the OP's tittle is the first thing, at least, they should do, not all things they should do.
Do you get my point here?

It's really annoying when I see someone is applying on a campaign even it's full or close for new participants. Wondering how they will give their best performance if they are not bothering to read topic title. And yes, most of managers especially on bitcoin signature avoid applications whoever applied before announcement of free spot. So whoever expecting to enter good campaign they should avoid this kind of behaviour.

Also I don't like to discuss on campaign thread if manager not update anything. It would consider spam post. No meaning bumping campaign thread without reason.

Sometimes we see campaign with [FIN] in title, it means campaigns already finished. I also saw some guys apply to [FIN] campaigns, because managers don't lock bounty topics immediately after changing its title to [FIN]. Maybe managers forget to lock topics or don't care about it, I don't know, honestly, but I really think managers should lock finished bounty topics in order to avoid spam.

The rise in the Bitcoin price will be like the rain of campaigns, which will make many people tend to join any project and therefore delay any second will make others have a higher chance, but good campaigns managers will look for members with posts (above the average) even if they are the last to submit their request. ( Read the rules, improve your post quaily = Higher chanes)

But because of bitcoin's price to rise some bounty hunters tend to join campaign that they think they can earn btc from it rather than searching about the campaigns they are trying to join/participate or which campaign should join and they won't get suffer from an unexoected consequences.
