I just looked into the elixxir project and its definitely something worth noting. Founded by David Chaum who invented Digicash back in 1989 and a long time crypto and privacy pioneer it looks like. As far the project goes, it's a digital messaging and payments app that secures data and metadata. I would say it's venmo and whatsapp competition

I think we really need a messaging app that is anonymous and don't store data on a central database but stores the data of all users on the blockchain.

Some people might begin to say that steemit already has this feature, but I can't vouch for steemit on this because of the kind of platform it has, steemit of all things is not user friendly which is a very great drawback to the steemit community, people are not just looking for ways they can make money, but people are also looking for ways to make it easily.

Indeed we need these kind of app and privacy online but i think there no one can guarantee that the app not somehow store messages like happen in past with some apps and data was leaked.
