EDIT : Resolved as of 26/04/2019 -- DebitMe refunded the .05BTC

What happened:

I won at auction a lot composed of two Lealana's 1 LTC coins. They never arrived and seller pocketed the coins ; stopped replying.

Here is what happened :
The parcel was sent nevertheless, except there was a typo in the tracking number that was forwarded to me, hence it was unusable.
I asked DebitMe to send me the correct tracking number, he didn't reply to that message.

Then the parcel got stuck at customs for quite some time, and I got a letter from them asking me for an invoice for these items.
I contacted customs to sort it out, and they released the parcel from customs without notifying it to me. I sent messages to DebitMe in that regard, to no reply from him.

Then the parcel went in limbo for a few more weeks, as I still didn't have the right tracking number.
Finally, customs were able to give me the outbound tracking number (they changed it once the parcel arrived in my country)

Unfortunately, the parcel went on it's way back to DebitMe, as there was a lot of lacks in communication from my country national post, customs and DebitMe.
In the end, I have no Lealana's and no korns : I'm out of 0.05BTC here.  Undecided
Since then, I PMed DebitMe several times asking for a reply, and I notified him that unless we sort out the matter, I'll have to open this thread.

So .. Here it is.

This is really strange. I hope DebitMe has not lost his mind or may be something wrong in his side. Anyway, I left a temporary neg (unless the issue resolve) in his profile. I really hope things work out well.

Did you tried any other means of communication with them apart from bitcointalk? Because the profile clearly states Last Active: February 15, 2019, 03:01:37 AM. It's almost been two months since they're last active. Maybe they're busy in personal life? I hope you establish another means of communication with him and sort this out.

Unfortunately, no. I don't have other means of contact.
I can try the good old letter in the mail, since I have his details on the customs letter but to be honest I haven't thought of that and would rather not resort to that.
Also when you are PMed, by default you receive an email with the content of the PM, so it is really pretty much like an email.

I PMed him on :

December 20, 2018, 01:55:07 AM => Tracking number is wrong, no reply.
January 07, 2019, 10:03:33 AM => Annoucing that custom held onto the package and I need some info, no reply.
February 01, 2019, 07:16:10 PM => Announcing that parcel is on it's way back, got a reply that I shouldn't worry. "I will make sure we come to a conclusion that makes you whole one way or another."
February 14, 2019, 02:43:56 PM => Asking for news about the parcel, no reply.
March 15, 2019, 11:58:10 AM => Asking for news, considering scam report, no reply.
March 26, 2019, 04:31:01 PM => Asking for news, considering scam report more seriously, no reply.

I usually tend to not be too demanding / too protective with people I assume can be trusted by default.
Anyone can be busy in life, I understand that, this is why there was quite some time between PMs.
But when trading, to no reply for months is pretty much deceptive.

Left negative feedback, hopefully this will get sorted at some point but I seriously doubt that after a few months of no communication Sad.

Strange! I can't believe a legendary member with lot of positive feedback's will scam only 0.05BTC. Since he/she is offline almost 50 days I think there is something wrong. May be something happen on his/her personal life or he is busy. I don't believe he would like to lose his/her I'd only for 0.05BTC. Since multiple DT already tag account so he will aware about this accusation once he login bitcointalk that's why I will not bother to tag. Hope he/she will resolve this issue when he/she will online.

Is he doing an exit scam last post was January 2 and last login February 15, that's very low price to lose your reputation like that, he can earn that amount with his signature campaign he is displaying, even a legendary members cannot be totally trusted, I hope it's just an exception, there are still a lot of high ranked members who wants tpo protect their rank.

Why was the parcel returned to DebitMe? It seems the parcel went from being "released" from customs under a different tracking number (going to you?) to going back to the US to DebitMe without an explanation.

Interesting, you can hear with bavicrypro if he got his coin, he was the other winner in the auction.
DebitMe was last online February 15, hope he is well.

Just sent him a PM, let's see what happens.

I got no notice from the custom when the parcel has been released. In fact, they released it pretty quickly. It took them 3-4 days but I didn't know that.
I couldn't follow it and as I was expecting an aswer from the customs, I was getting a bit angry for no reason since they released it.
In 2019, there was a internal change in the national posting system and a different service got in charge of parcels in my area, resulting in a couple of parcels going back to sender.
(They couldn't deliver since they lacked an "address" despite the fact I use a PO box ...  Roll Eyes ). I got no issue in 2018, but several parcels got back to sender in January 2019.

This is NOT why I opened the scam accusation.
I opened it because of the lack of communication from the seller.

All other cases where the parcels got back to senders where resolved, since communication was possible.

I asked bavicrypto and he cannot confirm or deny he got them. Somebody else received them on his behalf

Yesterday evening, I got a PM from DebitMe asking for my BTC address.
Today, a 0.05BTC transaction arrived at my primary address.

I assume this is DebitMe since I wasn't expecting any other 0.05BTC transaction.
I just PMed him.

I am going to remove the negative I left and PM people that left one to ask to remove theirs as well.

Thanks a lot !

Hello everyone. I am glad I could get this resolved to yoga's satisfaction. I never received the coins back, but that is probably my own fault for how this played out. To be honest, I am a tax accountant and was averaging over 75 hour weeks since February, and I simply forgot about this transaction, until I got back on, responded, then forgot again. That is obviously no excuse and I take full responsibility for the issues, but that is my side of the story.
So basically, it is still me on this account and I simply forgot about this whole transaction and wasnt able to be on the site as much as I was at one point. I apologize for how this played out and appreciate yogg for allowing me to make it right and forgiving for an accident.

There should have not been another case. He had his coins shipped to minerjones and used minerjones as escrow if my memory serves. So coins were released once he recieved the coins.

Seems like bavicrypto has removed his post about not receiving the coin so I guess he made a mistake. Than this case is also closed.

Sorry for rising the question, I should have checked the post prior to posting.

@yogg, just put [SOLVED] in the title and lock the thread Smiley
