Qoheleth opened a thread that asked what started bitcoin's pump. He also shared that the pump begun in Japan in an exchange called Coincheck.

Also, when we look for what altcoin did all that value held in bitcoin go, we can see that all that bitcoin is maybe being used to pump bitcoin cash, the largest and most consistent gainer after bitcoin's pump.

Roger Ver lives in Japan.

It would not be a surprise to me that it came from Jesus. Because, after every pump in BTC's price, there is a good increase in BCH's price. Even without any reason.

Also, when we look for what altcoin did all that value held in bitcoin go, we can see that all that bitcoin is maybe being used to pump bitcoin cash,

instead of reading what other people say you should always look at the charts. the charts never lie but people do!
it is so easy to verify too. when bitcoin started going up, BCH and all the other altcoins got dumped hard. so saying "bitcoin" was used to pump BCH is silly when you look at this chart which belongs to bitcoin-cash price history:

Perhaps Roger Ver is involved in pumping the BCH price, but the fact is that artificial pumping cannot keep the price and the dump is followed by a dump, after which the coin price returns to its previous positions. I do not think this tactic is good, but perhaps this price increase provoked interest in Bitcoin, judging by the Google Trends chart.

BCH like many other altcoins got pumped after the bitcoin price rise which shows that it had nothing to do with bitcoin itself at least not directly.

what happened was 3 stages:
1. when bitcoin was stable in $3900-$4200 which is when most of the altcoins specially the small ones were getting huge pumps of 100% to 500% per day.
2. when bitcoin started rising suddenly from that previous level to $5000. this is when all the altcoins including BCH got dumped hard and lost at least 10% of their value.
3. when bitcoin again reached a stable phase this time in $4800-$5100 range. at this time because of the "enthusiasm" and "positivity" that bitcoin had brought with that little rise in stage 2, some newbies are rushing to buy altcoins which is when many of them went up including BCH. this is still not a pump be cause it is small. a pump in an altcoin is at least 100% rise.

It is very possible that Roger ver is pumping the price of Bitcoin cash, this is crypto and everything is possible here especially when a man like Roger ver is involved in this because he has always been against Bitcoin since the implementation of segwit in the bitcoin network, it even got to the extent of him calling Bitcoin cash the real bitcoin confusing newbies who just heard about Bitcoin and want to invest in it, so it might be him creating a pump to draw back investors to bitcoin cash.

When the market price bump you guys are saying it is because of  Roger were now the dump time and you are saying that is because of that will you say it is caused because of Mt gox. It is completely stupid if you believe some one or some news malfunction the price.

Roger Ver will most likely be involved in any bitcoin cash pump. It is not hard to imagine since he has always insisted that bitcoin cash is a better version of bitcoin so he will likely be motivated to push for some quick recovery  of bitcoin cash it seems inevitable we are entering a bull market.Remember we are down from about 4000$ bitcoin cash,

I don't know why people were trying to castigate Roger Ver here, this is a project he invested lot of resources and his reputation into and need to defend the price so as to prevent the "I told you so" talk. For me, with time BCH will die, its death is inevitable no matter the amount of money put into it to defend the price.

I've never understood the point of bitcoin cash. The 'solutions' it offers where it performs better than BTC are already offered by other coins, and in a superior way to bitcoin cash. Personal opinion obviously, but I can't see why this coin should have any value at all.

Bitcoin cash climbed nearly 53% with the current bump which looks like manipulated by using the good trend of bitcoin so people who still believes on bitcoin cash are risking their money maybe at the end of bull run the existence of bitoin cash won't be found.

Pump by whales, and lost value after it. It is just a heavily manipulated coin i choose to avoid.

indeed bitcoin can be one of the solutions for making payments or transactions faster and safer, but currently there are still many who cannot accept payments using bitcoin and some countries still have not given permission to use or bitcoin transactions.

There is too much incentive to help Bitcoin Cash raise prices. potential, great community, loyal investors, good team have helped its value to increase very strong in the present time. Besides, Q2 usually starts with "blue storms" and we still don't know what is inside. Be careful with pump shots. It can be reduced at any time.

I understood the point of Bitcoin Cash 100%. But what they said officially never make sense,,, like you said, supposedly faster transactions, cheaper fees and the worse, being the "Original Bitcoin". I would not have minded them at all if not for this big misleading claim about being the real Bitcoin and then tricking so many newbies into buying BCH when they wanted to buy Bitcoin.

It was pretty obvious that a group from the BCH camp were artificially inflating its price so that BCH could capitalize on the hype that the market was getting after the BTC pump, this way newcomers wouldn't hesitate in fomo buying a crypto, in this case, BCH, that was getting a +50% increase in 24h. Overall, just blatant manipulating to a coin that I wouldn't be surprised if it gets dumped to oblivion once the next bull run starts.

Funnily enough, that artifical BCH pump still couldn't overtake LTC on the charts, gotta try harder Roger  Wink

After the hard fork in BCH, I started to have serious trust issues. Investing in BCH or BSV instead of BTC is not likely in the current situation. Particularly now, it is worth to be careful when investing.

BSV is a shitcoin, in fact none of them are great but between the 2 it would have to be bitcoincash. It as proven to be a resilient fork of bitcoin and investors seems to keep buying it, even though they should just stick to bitcoin
