I have been away for awhile and was wondering where the best place to sell some bitcoin would be?

Was selling some on coinbase but now they want a copy of my ID and I don't feel comfortable with that.

Is CEX.IO a good place to sell?

Thanks

you can check coinmarketcap for exchanges and their prices of bitcoin.  but i think these exchanges require identity verification before you can do fiat withdrawal.  moreover, they have to ask for your bank information.

the quickest way is to check localbitcoins.com site.  this is a peer-to-peer bitcoin buy and sell platform.  you can see who are selling and buying bitcoins within your local area with their respective prices.

Depends how "low". Though if you really don't want to submit any KYC, personally, I'd probably look for reputable buyers and sellers on the Marketplace[1] instead.

Even on localbitcoin site it is mandatory to register with one of our government identity to activate the account once we complete registration so it might not be the best place for him to sell btc.He can look for the buyers for cash on currency exchange section and the chances of finding a buyer depends on which country he/she is from.

mjglqw is right, you will be able to find a buyer in the market place rather than going through some exchange. And if you really want to go to exchange then why not go to Binance?

You should try selling your bitcoins to bittrex. You can direct your funds to your bank account after you sell it. And the fee of transaction to your account will not hurt you since bittrex has a nice volume of coins. So selling could be of a higher price.

I think you can sell your bitcoin at your VIP Indodax address, so you will feel comfortable and the process will make money faster. for me it's also good to do it.

I do not use Cex.io since a year ago, if you want to use cex.io means that you should be ready for KYC as users needs to pass KYC for all transactions.

It's a long time ago when I still used CEX.IO, but until I realise that I don't feel comfortable to trade in their site, I moved to bittrex and poloniex. And now, I use my time to trade in Binance. You can follow me too, and you don't have to fill KYC if you don't mind for 2 btc withdraw a day. Binance still an excellent place for me to sell my bitcoin besides of bittrex and poloniex. And don't forget with localbitcoin because, in that site, you don't have to fill KYC too.

I am not clear about your sell. Are you looking for real money against btc ? Or you want to trade with fiat or with some others coin? If you need real money then you have to check who are allowing bank withdrawals like coinbase since you are not agree to submit KYC. Or you can choose localbitcoin website. If you want to exchange with fiat or any other coin then you might choose Binance. Because there is limits for unverified user.

Better option is, try to sell your bitcoin on forum at Currency Exchange board. Don't forget to use escrow for safe deal.

I don't think it's time for us to sell our bitcoin because the price of bitcoin still hasn't experienced a good price increase so if we sell now the profit we get is not comparable to us waiting a long time from yesterday

Small amount such as what? Right now there is a transaction fee in bitcoin and if you look at the exchanges most of them even charge over that transaction fee so it means that you need to have more than a tiny amount just to cover the expenses. I think the cheapest I saw was at idax.pro and they charge like 0.0001 for your withdraw, which means anything over 0.0001 you can just take into your wallet or pay someone if you want.

If you do not want an exchange and just look for a wallet than blockchain.com is always the best option to use while transferring funds. If you just want to sell tiny amounts and do not want to share your information I can suggest localbitcoins, it might be a little bit more riskier but you can find a trusted person there and sell as little as you want.

try binance bro but you will add more fees on it if you always want to switch to another site. But perhaps it's ok for you rather than putting your information just to sell a coin.  By the way i didn't pursue you to use binance wherein make a research always also. So that you can choose which is better for you  in your own opinion.

I don’t recommend you to use this exchange for sell your Bitcoin. I would like to suggest you to use Binance exchange. It's most secure exchange than cex.io.

But he is not comfortable with KYC while Bittrex requires users to provide KYC during registration if I remember it correctly.

I don't know why everybody don't want KYC. Okay, cryptocurrency promotes being anonymous online. But, doing KYC is not a problem IMO. Since bittrex has a nice service. Although there were some accusation threads in this forum about them but I'm using bittrex and so far I have no issue regarding on what service they bring.

I do not think there is other reason except anonymity. Those who do not want to do KYC want to be anonymous especially if they are dealing with small amount of money only. It is reasonable enough imho, so we cant blame them who do not want to deal with KYC.

There are lots of exchanges that you can use to sell your bitcoin and most of them do not require KYC verification if what you are selling is a small value because usually they ask for your data when you will make a withdrawal with a large value.
