I have been away for awhile and was wondering where the best place to sell some bitcoin would be?

Was selling some on coinbase but now they want a copy of my ID and I don't feel comfortable with that.

Is CEX.IO a good place to sell?

Thanks

you can check coinmarketcap for exchanges and their prices of bitcoin.  but i think these exchanges require identity verification before you can do fiat withdrawal.  moreover, they have to ask for your bank information.

the quickest way is to check localbitcoins.com site.  this is a peer-to-peer bitcoin buy and sell platform.  you can see who are selling and buying bitcoins within your local area with their respective prices.

Depends how "low". Though if you really don't want to submit any KYC, personally, I'd probably look for reputable buyers and sellers on the Marketplace[1] instead.

Even on localbitcoin site it is mandatory to register with one of our government identity to activate the account once we complete registration so it might not be the best place for him to sell btc.He can look for the buyers for cash on currency exchange section and the chances of finding a buyer depends on which country he/she is from.

mjglqw is right, you will be able to find a buyer in the market place rather than going through some exchange. And if you really want to go to exchange then why not go to Binance?

You should try selling your bitcoins to bittrex. You can direct your funds to your bank account after you sell it. And the fee of transaction to your account will not hurt you since bittrex has a nice volume of coins. So selling could be of a higher price.

I think you can sell your bitcoin at your VIP Indodax address, so you will feel comfortable and the process will make money faster. for me it's also good to do it.

I do not use Cex.io since a year ago, if you want to use cex.io means that you should be ready for KYC as users needs to pass KYC for all transactions.

It's a long time ago when I still used CEX.IO, but until I realise that I don't feel comfortable to trade in their site, I moved to bittrex and poloniex. And now, I use my time to trade in Binance. You can follow me too, and you don't have to fill KYC if you don't mind for 2 btc withdraw a day. Binance still an excellent place for me to sell my bitcoin besides of bittrex and poloniex. And don't forget with localbitcoin because, in that site, you don't have to fill KYC too.

I am not clear about your sell. Are you looking for real money against btc ? Or you want to trade with fiat or with some others coin? If you need real money then you have to check who are allowing bank withdrawals like coinbase since you are not agree to submit KYC. Or you can choose localbitcoin website. If you want to exchange with fiat or any other coin then you might choose Binance. Because there is limits for unverified user.

Better option is, try to sell your bitcoin on forum at Currency Exchange board. Don't forget to use escrow for safe deal.

I don't think it's time for us to sell our bitcoin because the price of bitcoin still hasn't experienced a good price increase so if we sell now the profit we get is not comparable to us waiting a long time from yesterday

Small amount such as what? Right now there is a transaction fee in bitcoin and if you look at the exchanges most of them even charge over that transaction fee so it means that you need to have more than a tiny amount just to cover the expenses. I think the cheapest I saw was at idax.pro and they charge like 0.0001 for your withdraw, which means anything over 0.0001 you can just take into your wallet or pay someone if you want.

If you do not want an exchange and just look for a wallet than blockchain.com is always the best option to use while transferring funds. If you just want to sell tiny amounts and do not want to share your information I can suggest localbitcoins, it might be a little bit more riskier but you can find a trusted person there and sell as little as you want.

try binance bro but you will add more fees on it if you always want to switch to another site. But perhaps it's ok for you rather than putting your information just to sell a coin.  By the way i didn't pursue you to use binance wherein make a research always also. So that you can choose which is better for you  in your own opinion.

I don’t recommend you to use this exchange for sell your Bitcoin. I would like to suggest you to use Binance exchange. It's most secure exchange than cex.io.

I don't know why everybody don't want KYC. Okay, cryptocurrency promotes being anonymous online. But, doing KYC is not a problem IMO. Since bittrex has a nice service. Although there were some accusation threads in this forum about them but I'm using bittrex and so far I have no issue regarding on what service they bring.

I do not think there is other reason except anonymity. Those who do not want to do KYC want to be anonymous especially if they are dealing with small amount of money only. It is reasonable enough imho, so we cant blame them who do not want to deal with KYC.

There are lots of exchanges that you can use to sell your bitcoin and most of them do not require KYC verification if what you are selling is a small value because usually they ask for your data when you will make a withdrawal with a large value.

Is there a reputable exchange out there that does not require you to send a copy of your ID? As much as we want to stay away from those kind of sites that requires us to send a copy of our ID's I guess we have to embrace the fact that they are going to that direction because they need to be complaint to government rules or suffer the consequence of being shut down.

Bittrex was definitely a good exchange earlier but it has turned out to be less visited site these days. I had myself started trading with bittrex but since the implementation of KYC took place I have shifted to Binance.
I have read posts where people's funds were frozen by bittrex due to non-compliance of KYC by the users. Its like, I can't even use my funds if I don't reveal my identity. Why would anyone want that?
Binance is far better than bittrex in every case which is why OP should try binance before any other 'exchange'.
Bitcointalk marketplace is also a good option but just be sure that the dealer is not a scammer. Go for reputed members rather than less known members.

There are many platforms to sell a little amount of bitcoin. Now there are lots of places on the internet to sell Bitcoin. You can find many websites when you search Google. There you can sell your Bitcoin. But I would say all websites are not trusted. Many websites can scam with you. So I would like to verify that website before selling Bitcoin. Because after selling Bitcoin many times they no longer pay the price. So it is very good to be verified. You can sell your Bitcoin on the LocalBitcoin website. It's a great website.

Thank you.

Dont go with cex.io exchange as their are lot of scam accusation against this exchange, best way is go to localbitcoins.com site and sell directly to the users in your local currency and their escrow system is best which will guard your transaction best.

I agree with you as this exchange is not more good like before and their are lot of withdrawal problems reported in this forum against them. Localbitcoin exchange is good to use as they have good escrow system through which you can trade safely.

Cex.io is exchange I have used for a long time, and I can recommend. Even recently, it has begun to develop further. Just the succession increase in fee was not pleasant, but still better than others.

Well, it depends on your country, if you want to sell just a little amount of Bitcoin I think it's much better to find someone that you can meet within your nearby location, if don't have then you have no choice to undergo to KYC on some exchanges that required for every user that can buy/sell Bitcoins. For me, just select those exchange that has good reputation and the volume is quite huge.

AFAIK, it's a place for renting miner in digital way.
You should find local exchange just like I did that I've use it over 5 years without any problem ( even got hacked )
Or Binance may the another fit solution for you !

Listen dude, I understand that you have a small amount of Bitcoins.
But before proceeding to sell it, i would like to ask you few things.
What currency you want for it in return ?
If you want something handy, then i would suggest you to check out localbitcoins.com
They are the best and most trusted in my opinion.
Hope this helps.  Grin Grin

Bro, this KYC thing is not a big deal if you want a smooth flow of transaction, I do not want you to be dodging KYC and end up falling into the hands of a scammer, coin base is a reputable company, it is just part of the policy that virtually many exchanges have introduced now.

I have been using the exchanges I use to change my BTC for a very long time now and I did my KYC with them, up until now, I have not had any issue, provided they are not asking for your bank codes, I don’t think they pose any risk, provided we can verify that they are solid exchanges well know, despite all this KYC challenges we are all mentioning, their user base is still growing.

you are very lucky to be able to buy and sell on coinbase and you should be happy to use coinbase. doing KYC on the coinbase should not be a big problem for you and I recommend that you do KYC on the coinbase. Many exchanges are exchanges that do not render good services and have anonymous owners and will hold your coins if they do not make KYC. Do you prefer to use shady exchanges and run the risk of losing money just because you do not want to make KYC on the coinbase?

Is CEX.IO a good place to sell?

they have many problems:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search2

and it has a much more rigorous KYC, at least that's what I realized when I wanted to do KYC in CEX.IO

I will coose Binance, no needed YOur Id but if you want increase your withdraw you must verification your identity.
OP is very likely referring to actual fiat withdrawals, which the main Binance exchange doesn't offer. Binance Jersey however does offer actual fiat withdrawals in form of EUR or GBP, but that obviously requires you to verify yourself.

As for OP not feeling comfortable with Coinbase knowing all your personal information, which is perfectly understandable, but they are one of the most regulated entities within the world of crypto.

If I had to choose an exchange to verify myself at, then it would definitely be Coinbase. It hasn't ever been hacked and they take security serious, which can't be said about most of the other exchanges being too nonchalant.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

If you want to sell your bitcoins without facing any problems then you can use bittrex, binance exchange.

Yes you can use anything in above as you mentioned. My personal suggestion will be localbitcoins exchange to convert bitcoins to cash. There you could find the escrow to handle the payment, which all people expect in exchange management.

If you are looking to convert bitcoins to other altcoins means there are plenty of exchanges still available for you. You can choose anyone among that.

My opinion is the best place to sell small amounts of bitcoin only at Bittrex.

If iam not wrong Poloniex using a fee service for btc only at 10.000 Satoshi, did Poloniex still using that fee? if they still using that fee poloniex maybe a good option for a little bitcoin fee.
Do you mean withdrawal fees? poloniex withdrawal fee have increased since 2018. As we know before, if poloniex is the only market that has very cheap withdrawal fees, it is only 0,0001 BTC but now it has changed to 0,0005 BTC.

for the fee trading you can check in here without login.

Hi there Dave.

Are your "low amount of bitcoins" still available?
This is also one place where you could sell it. You could do an escrow for more assurance or you could just go trade it with some old timers here who wont taint their account just for a little dollar.

I am up to buy too if it will still be available.  Grin

Selling our bitcoin's of we have such, don't dump it at foreign exchanges, instead we can sell it through the local exchanges in your desired country. The most common reasons to that was helping our other new traders grab an opportunity like easy buying method, unlike with other non prominent trading sites. Some exchanges which isn't familiar to newbies, they can't have comfort using it compared to what they usually seen on local trading site.

If its a really small amount, then its not worth going through those KYCs and ID submission. Always hated Coinbase because of all these bullshits. What you can do is, find someone on this forum who is willing to buy bitcoin in exchange of the coin/currency you want (you will be saving fees too). If its a reputable buyer, then there is less risk of getting  scammed. If its a new random buy get an escrow!

CEX.IO is a small exchange, the volume is low, depends on how much you are selling, if you have big amount of BTC to sell, you should choose a bigger sites for a competitive rate. Binance exchange is a good exchange, they do not require KYC for 2 BTC withdrawal per day, maybe you should try.

Actually, there are many place where you can sell your bitcoin and most of us sell our bitcoin in the top major exchange. In selling bitcoin we need to choose good exchange where we assure that our money and bitcoin are safe and secure. As a matter of fact bitcoin is very valuable thing in the internet so many people want to have it.
These are what the OP is supposed to place as priority but unfortunately, he is more scared of KYC that looking out for all these qualities you mentioned, it’s not that he doesn’t have some of these firsthand information or not exposed to good trading exchanges but he wants the one without KYC which it will be a little bit difficult to see any of very good exchanges that will not give him any challenge in the long run not ask for KYC, a time will call that there will be no single exchange left that won’t require KYC with them, we better start getting use to it, it’s a virus that is already spreading.

There are lots of platform to buy and sell bitcoin, most of them are exchanges but for me I buy and sell bitcoin on my online wallet Coins.ph not just bitcoin but also ethereum and XRP. I find it very efficient as you just need to be their user after registration and verified to access their services. There are big exchanges like binance who offers low transaction fee so buying bitcoin is on 1:0.9 .

You should try selling your bitcoins to bittrex. You can direct your funds to your bank account after you sell it. And the fee of transaction to your account will not hurt you since bittrex has a nice volume of coins. So selling could be of a higher price.
But he is not comfortable with KYC while Bittrex requires users to provide KYC during registration if I remember it correctly.
Oh I didn't saw that coming. Well if that's the case for him I think it's best for him to avoid using exchanges and start to find people that can buy his btc. He should try meeting up with them to avoid scamming of funds. Goodluck to OP.

I think you can sell it on your local group like in telegram/fb, sell it to a trustworthy member, yeah maybe the rate will not in your favor but I think you can work this out?

probably you are right but most of the people had huge amount of investment and they don't want to sale with the splitting their investment so I think probably good exchanges will always helpful you too do the best job without any problem if you find something different for your less investment also I need to be more careful about while doing an transaction

Are you selling for fiat or other cryptocurrencies? How little is the Bitcoin?

Use normal cryptocurrency exchange If you are selling Bitcoin for other cryptocurrencies otherwise use peer-to-peer platform like paxful. I am not sure if kyc is required  to trade on the paxful. The last time I used it, which was last year, nothing was requested.

Selling it on a local group without meeting up is not a good idea, OP should have a reputable middle man if he's not okay with meeting up any strangers. Passing IDs to skip KYC is a bit annoying to those exchanges out there if you were trading for a small amount it is not worth the hassle.

Try to find a swap service that can exchange it for you. They tend to charge higher fees but it is fast and sweet if all gos as it should be.

Before transferring your money to any exchange, don't be too lazy to read reviews. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/cex.io - here are quite informative reviews about CEX.IO. Such tactics are useful when using any exchanges and help avoid trouble. Because there are so many exchanges with fraudulent behavior. Reviews will help you find out a better reputation about them. Btw, another site with reviews about CEX.IO: https://revain.org/exchanges/cexio

P.s. It will be better if you use several sources of information.

You may try to use Kuna.io, that platform don't needs any ID verification, but actually, for small balances almost every exchange works way.

it is not difficult to find exchanges to sell btc, I see that now you might be able to try to binance. there you can easily sell your bitcoin at the price you want.
Sure, exchanges are not scarce, but what is scarce is integrity, we have lots of exchanges that lacks integrity and I think that we need to be very careful s to which exchange we really go on, and it Is like Binance and some top 10 exchanges are still the best exchanges that we can use in the market. I have been with this binance for a very long time now, and I will say that they have never really been if issue to me at all.

The one surprising thing about binance to me is that their customer care support is to active despite the large user database that they have. The last time something like this surprised me was when I had issue with Facebook, and despite all the issue, Facebook was still able to attend to me and even follow me up on the issue that I am having with them then.

There's a lot of exchange where you can sell your bitcoin mate.  Just make a search in fact using simple research in google about it you can easily find some certain information. But i suggest be careful when choosing exchange because you know all exchange site has a different fees so pick one wherein that will fit on what you want.

There is a real problem how to sell for a large amount and you haven’t been robbed or found and killed. I mean selling p2p.

I think you can do that only if you use decentralized exchange site platform, if you hate submitting kyc.
But as of the moment, there are other exchange asking for KYC it is still fine as long you choose the best top exchange
listed at the coinmarketcap(CMC) and one of this are Binance, Okex, Houbi, Coinbene, Digifinex and others.

Where did you see a real decentralized platform? I think it's all a hoax, they all have owners.

It depends on what coins you sell, cex.io is good, does have a few coins that enter the market and quite simple. If you want to compare prices and volumes to get maximize profits, you can look at coin marketcap and select exchangers who have more volume on the coins

Asking idenfication of coinbase is compulsory because cpinbase excha ge need to report all user of their exchange specially the US citizen for the implementation of taxe collection.
Check it out in the coin market cap what is the best exchnage you can sell  your coins with low rate transaction fee for you comfortabllity.

You can choose and compare fees on each exchange on this site,

some sites may require KYC but some site does not.

KYC only aims to protect customers when you have problems withdraw money. I think in this market a lot of reputable exchanges like Binance, Bitmax do not require KYC users and we can freely withdraw money without any problems. At the moment, this issue is not what worries you because if that exchange forces KYC users then best not to join because they will definitely cause you a lot of problems.

KYC is something that we really cannot shy away from, because it would be worse than this in the future when there is full regulation on cryptocurrency generally by the government. kyc was never a priority of these exchanges before, but I guess they  have seen the future and they know already that it would cause them big issue when cryptocurrency becomes regulated and it would be enforced by government.

The result of the importance of KYC to government is what has led to the things we are seeing now that virtually everyone is requesting for KYC now. So the op just need to get used to dealing on exchanges with KYC, there are reliable exchanges that would never do anything bad with our data and I can beat my chest for exchanges like binance and some other ones.

If the cryptocurrency exchanges will be only with ID verifying in future, then, I will use fiat.

Maybe DEX will give you the access for KYC free trading practices. In future every exchange will document the KYC as there is need for it to eliminate the illegal activities. When things happen in a proper way it'll also help with the legalization of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on countries that don't take any stand on cryptocurrency.

Not all exchanges will require KYC verification, and I think you can find those exchanges so you can use the exchanges to trade. But if you still want to use fiat, then that will be no problem. The best place to sell a little bitcoin is by the sellers who are in the same place as you so you don't have to confuse or to feel hard to sell.

I am sure you can find those sellers around in your city. Or you can browse in localbitcoin as this site was very popular among the bitcoiners. Or you can use other family members ID to register, and you can log in in every day using his ID Grin

good solution by selling it between people. it would be better if you met during the process, so that your transaction is smooth. would be risky if only known through cyberspace even though one city. if I exchange through an exchange I usually convert to doge, then transfer to a local exchange, so the fee is cheaper

By the way, in our city there are exchangers in offices of residential premises where I can cash out bitcoin, it seems to me safer than meeting with real people.

I have been away for awhile and was wondering where the best place to sell some bitcoin would be?

There is no true value. It keeps fluctuating all the time and as far as we have bitcoin stretched to more than 11K recently. So you can wait until that point is reached. As you are selling small amount of money/btc then it would be worth waiting. In anyway btc is high currently. :-)

Is CEX.IO a good place to sell?

Thanks

There are always best option out there. And you can use tradebtc, hitbtc or local exchanger if you have in your region. I would suggest local one as it is more safe and gives nearby people to trade with. This can help in any unsuccessful trade if any. (Recovery etc.)

I do not recommend the Hitbtc trading platform, I had a lot of delays with the withdrawal in the past on this exchange.

Those who do not want to do KYC want to be anonymous especially if they are dealing with small amount of money only.

I don't think people who don't want to do KYC is because they are transacting small money or not. Maybe the people who are dealing with large money are those you could say such for.

But basically, it is just the fact that there shouldn't be need for it since it is an anonymous system and again it waste time for verification.

KYC is not necessary in this market because crypto is known as an anonymous market, so KYC can greatly affect their information. Currently, large exchanges do not force KYC customers and this has attracted the attention of many people. Personally, I never intended to KYC because this fact is a waste of my time and providing information can greatly affect your life.

I don't know the exact amount of bitcoin that you want to sell but if it is not really that high, I would recommend mercatox exchange for you. This trading platform is really cool to use and it does not impose KYC verification on users although there are strong security features which is optional for users to choose from.

You should look for some merchants in your country through social media networks. They can accept payments through regional banks to pay for the Bitcoin you sell. Or search for some Crypto buying and selling websites to make your Bitcoin sale, in my country, there are some Crypto buying and selling sites, and that is very easy.

This should not be an issue at all as there are many better exchange where tou can sell your small amount of Btc without them requesting for your KYC information, they only request for your documents when your withdraw is above a certain tier amount

AFAIK,its not advisable though since chance of scam is high when we doing personal trades so going with localbitcoin or other p2p sites can be good choice. And also accept the bank transfers over other high risky payments for your bitcoins this might give you less offer but no chance for you get scammed.

There are exchanges in many places or with other countries that can conduct bitcoin transactions. Now, except for bitcoin, litecoin and some old currencies, ifc, there are trading platforms, but some methods are required to log in.

Registering for KYC is just a onetime thing and once it has been done, that is all, exchanges would not have imposed KYC if it was not necessary to protect themselves, protect traders and at the same time comply with the rule of government.

Do you really believe that government cannot scarp cryptocurrency, they can if the wanted to, every country’s leader will only instruct that it should be made illegal and once they say this, many of their citizens will withdraw including some that are already in crypto usage, the few left are people like us that feels their pronouncement would not have effect, until we start seeing that the volume on some of these exchanges are gradually dying down, till we too start forgetting it, but now that they are still interested, I don’t think we should make this KYC issue look like it is from pit of hell.

Everyone thoughts are different, but the KYC problem is really something that many people dislike when trading because this does not help them in investing and there is no reason for them to do so. I personally prefer anonymity in this market and have never provided any KYC documents for any exchange because it was really unnecessary. If that exchange obligates KYC users, I will never choose it because KYC affects my personal information.

You can sell on binance or large exchanges, don't try small or un reputable exchanges, you will regret it. Because there are some fraudulent exchanges still operating like Yobit, they are always hunting for new people to usurp assets.

I'm trading on CEX.IO, and I'm quite satisfied with this service. However, mind that it has quite an extensive verification process. But it only proves that this exchange really cares about the safety of clients and their personal information. Moreover, they keep on improving their service and the platform itself. And a few months ago they announced the launching of CEX.Broker, https://cexbro.com/, which allows trading with 10x leverage on BTC, ETH, and LTC.IMHO, that's a sign that a platform doesn't stay still.

it's better to avoid exchanges that have very small volumes and don't have clear liquidity. Most of the risk later is that funds will be very difficult to withdraw. I guess there are still other exchanges that still don't need ID Card/Passport, they only need to put your 2FA on your account. Okex or Cointiger maybe.

it's better to avoid exchanges that have very small volumes and don't have clear liquidity.

alot of exchange are like that but majority are not fake or scam .

if you only got a bitcoin , why will you trade on them where bitcoin is always tradable on almost every exchanges including the best ones or the ones that has a higher volume but if you mainly have altcoins , you can find yourself trading on less known exchanges as your coins are rarely being listed on the reputable one's

Some exchanges have got very small volume, but those have listed few cryptocurrencies that weren't available for trading in any of the other exchanges. By this instance we don't have any other choice than using the respective low trade volume exchange. Very few low volume exchanges gain trust slowly and provides good trade support.

The best thing you should do is go to coinmarketcap and check the best exchanges you could find to trade your bitcoins. There are a lot exchange websites there that you could choose from and are legit too. Some do have small fees, so better compare them to other exchanges to be sure.

I have been away for awhile and was wondering where the best place to sell some bitcoin would be?

Was selling some on coinbase but now they want a copy of my ID and I don't feel comfortable with that.

Is CEX.IO a good place to sell?

Thanks

I think you can do that only if you use decentralized exchange site platform, if you hate submitting kyc.
But as of the moment, there are other exchange asking for KYC it is still fine as long you choose the best top exchange
listed at the coinmarketcap(CMC) and one of this are Binance, Okex, Houbi, Coinbene, Digifinex and others.

Of the exchanges listed above, I did not use only this Digifinex. Judging by your words, can trust this exchange? In general, people respond well to this platform https://revain.org/exchanges/digifinex and there are no pronounced negative opinions. It would be useful for me to know the opinion of  forum members, like you. Many thanks.

if you live in indonesia and want to sell it to rupiah, you can sell it on indodax or upbit indonesia .. i recommend upbit indonesia because it has cheaper withdrawal fees
