Nice offer from Ledger, 50% for Nano S is a great discount in this package. Though many people are likely to wonder why the need two hardware wallets, but Ledger is promoting this as extra security option. Actually old Nano S should be used at home, something as cold storage, and Nano X on-the-go with user smartphone. This is not something that interests most users, but the idea is not really bad, especially for those who want maximum security and extra backup.

There are also more good news from Ledger, something that was announced and eagerly expected by some users - Ethereum App is reduced in size, and now is theoretically possible to install more apps in same time.

I do not think a 50% discount of Ledger Nano S would be a big boost to buying.
This option will benefit friends in saving some money. "If the option was bought two Ledger Nano X and get Ledger Nano S for free, it will be better."

The time of advertising is important the price increase and many may think of safe wallets as the value of their currencies.

There are a lot of people with 2 Ledger devices, or even more. Such discount is good if you're someone like these people, or want to get the second for a gift. You can give one to your wife and you tell her "it's for you babe so you can buy me some bitcoins from time to time"

Ledger often has special offers (black Fridays, Christmas, ...) , Several discounts type over the year is better than the same discount 365 days per year

I already bought another Nano S to use as a back-up when they dropped the price after launching the Nano X. The Nano X still just doesn't offer enough new features for me to be interested in getting one until they are much cheaper. I have little interest in most alts, and I don't want to use a hardware wallet day-to-day and advertise to everyone every time I use it that I'm carrying significant amounts of crypto around* - enough to warrant a hardware wallet - and put myself at risk of the $5 wrench attack. I would much prefer they did a deal on buying 2 or more Nano S devices.

My Ledger dangles from a hoop inserted through my nose. It's a great conversation starter.

If I had a Ledger and was in the market for another hardware wallet I'd go for a Trezor rather than another Ledger. That gives you server, software and development redundancy.
