I wonder why this board is under Economy's main board [Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Service Discussion > Web Wallets ] and not wallet software [Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Development & Technical Discussion > Wallet software]? Huh

What was the reason for its establishment in that child board?, Before wallet software was created, there was a relevant board "Alternative client."

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Web wallet is always a service provided and maintained by a third party. So it makes sense to be under service discussion as you will probably only discuss the quality of the service. But I believe it would be better if we have a separate section only for wallets. And child board for each type.

If the wallet uses JavaScript to avoid having your private keys, and there's a reasonable level of transparency to assure that this is actually the case, then it is a software wallet (written in JavaScript), and it can go in Wallet Software. If it can access your private keys, then it's a bank, which is a type of service.
