In 20 years, people will either be saying “Remember when you could buy bitcoin for only 3500?” or “Remember when everyone lost their minds and spent millions on useless internet money?”

One day cryptos might boom in such a way that basically everyone who didn't invest in them will become poor

If we take into account that it is almost impossible for anyone to predict what the price is going to do during the next day then it is quite problematic to try to predict what it is going to happen in such a long time frame, however since I really believe that cryptocurrencies are going to become successful since countries around the world seem incapable of stopping printing money like crazy then your first scenario is more likely.

But in 100 years I really think that bitcoin is going to be in the history books and the same will be true for the mysterious person that created bitcoin and even after so much time I think they will still try to identify who was the person behind the name of satoshi.

Technology keeps on advancing, but life is very inevitable and it can be hard to tell what may happen in 100 years or so in the field of crypto. Prediction is tricky, it's hard to be right and easy to be wrong. As for me, I don't really think much about what might happen in the future of crypto, it's not going to give me a peace of mind. True. No one can exactly predict what will happen in the future. Maybe in 100 years from now, if bitcoin would still be available, then it owns a very expensive price like million or billion per bitcoin or it has already been replace by another virtual currency which is much powerful than bitcoin.

When Gold was first introduced, I am sure there will be so many people by then that would not see the possibility of gold going this far, and many people will say the same thing of not being alive to know what will happen then, but those who took the step to acquire some gold based on what it will becomes in many years to come is what some generations that will never become our again are enjoying now.

100 years is too far for us to know about the future of Bitcoin, but no one knows, we might think BTC will not exist again but end up being like GOLD, we might not be alive again, but what will our future generator remember of us?

It is a high risk to hold bitcoin for many years you don't know that exactly gonna happends once it drops and your just invest huge money from it. Lot of people selling on there coins for now to avoid lossing money in market situation and condition.

Well if we are going to look at it's historical past, bitcoin is a good hold for many years. Just look at what happen to early adopters, in 2017 then made a fortune buy just holding bitcoins in the last 5-7 years.

So there's a big possibility that bitcoin could be worth in the next 100 years or so. Remember that bitcoin is scarce and once all the coins are almost mine, there will be more demand that will push the price even further.

I believe that in the next 100 years, Bitcoin would have captured more than 80% of the whole financial market around the world. I dont even think that lot of people can hold their bitcoin in 100 years because once bitcoin get bigger for its price they sell it immediately for to win and not to loss for their funds.

Nobody can do it even if they plan to give BTC to their children and grandchildren. We do not know what will happen to Bitcoin in 2020 and here the guy asked about such a long period.

That's a funny, nonse question as hell to me. How old is Google, even the internet? Don't compare crypto to fiat money. It is basically a software.

The purpose pf the question I think is to understand how long would it take to get cryptocurrency as the main medium of transaction and what could be the prices of crypto coins in the next 100 years from now. I think that it is pretty obvious that cryptocurrency is a digital form of currency and is the need of the day. It has improved the system a lot and maybe in the years to come, it would have spread around the world with prices high and immense implications.
