If it really happens, then I think it will be positive for cryptocurrency currency. But honestly, I think that this coin will be very little like Bitcoin.

My take on this is - just another crypto adoption by a known social media network. This would create mass adoption for its users. But I don't know how far is the reach of VK, in terms of the number of users? They should create a valid reason why it should exist. Otherwise, this is just another project riding the hype of crypto projects. |

They just beat FB because they are earlier to announce. While facebook, gave some hint but there's no final words from them. All they do was to hire some blockchain engineers and specialists but we just can't be sure if they really are planning out for their own crypto.
This is just another altcoin that will have to pair with bitcoin but if VK will have its usecase to the level that their users will enjoy it and at the same time treats it as precious coin for their platform, it will be huge success for them.

Same lol. I created one months ago but never really used it. I don't know if I even have the correct password now. I might have to make a new one just because of this news  The article isn't sure whether it'll be traded with cryptocurrencies but I'm still thrilled with this one. |

I do not have the exact numbers but it should be less than Facebook. Nevertheless, I believe they still have a bigger user base compared to existing blockchain-based social media platforms. They should create a valid reason why it should exist. Otherwise, this is just another project riding the hype of crypto projects. Correct! The article did mention some uses of the VK internal currency. We'll probably find out more details in the coming days. |

VK though unknown to many has a deep presence in Slavic community and it's gaining attention worldwide.
Though it still looks like a copy of Facebook, in contrast to Facebook, VK is more dedicated in fulfilling the users wish and has long stopped copying facebook and making R&D on their own. And now the tokenization of the economic parts of VK would surely attract more users and advertisers.

I have read the news yesterday and felt great. Because I thought this year crypto will get massive adoption and it is really happening! After FB coin, JPM coin announcement and now the VK coin! It's like the big and famous person is involving in the crypto industry to obtain and support the great blockchain technology! Soon or later, everybody will realize blockchain and cryptocurrency is needed for everyone, and it is a better option for the world.

This is very good news for the crypto community. VK is the most popular social network not only in Russia but also in many countries. And if we make a top 10 popular social newtroking site worldwide, then VK will be one of the top 6! So, If they really come in the crypto industry that will be a big announcemnet to the world about crypto! I think after VK, Reddit coin will be the next! Actually, Reddit should come with a coin because it is a safe place for crypto discussion after all crypto related forums!
